I hereby implore the munificent leaders of CCP to please, for the love of all that is holy, remove any and all security penalty for using bombs near stargates.
This atrocious design oversight has cost me and members of my corporation for what is us much valued security status. While I make no demands on any security status lost to this point, I beg you to end the show-stoppingly high -1.5% penalty, which is 3x the penalty for shooting someone in highsec.
This crazy penalty, along with other deficiencies in bombs worthy of another post all unto itself, make them very unattractive as a weapon system, and that in turn makes us question CCP's sincerity in its desire to reduce the size of combat forces to non-turn-based or "fun" levels.
I am 98% sure this is completely server-side, so why wait? Flip that switch and lets get bombing.

For the ignorant, I am talking about bombs launched by bomb launchers, which only work in 0.0 space.
Edit: I was/am very high. I get my stuff in Canada. |

Taking a sec hit and then whining about it, all because you didnt know better, is kind of lame.
The most common theater for this weapon system is at stargates, thus anyone regularly deploying bombs as they were intended to be used inevitably becomes a criminal. |
