Independent Manufacturers regrets to announce the untimely death in real life of one of it's most senior players Sean Liam Bowler aka Kirian Skellig. Sean went into hospital for a final operation to help repair damage to his left eye which he received when being mugged back in November, unfortunately he had an adverse reaction to the surgery and suffered a massive coronary from which he failed to recover. Sean passed away last Wednesday, leaving his wife who is also an Eve player, and an ex member of Independent Manufacturers, our deepest sympathies go out to her.
As Kirian Skellig, Sean was one of the founders of Independent Manufacturers, having played the game not long after it started. Kirian will be remembered by both members of INDEP and other players who encountered him in his home areas of Lonetrek and Citadel as being an extremely helpful person who would go out of his way to help new players as much as possible. Kirian will be extremely missed by all of those who knew him as a warm hearted person with a great sense of humour, and a great sense of honour.
INDEP will be organising a memorial service for Kirian/Sean to be held in Usi, the system he had called home for nearly 8 months, as soon as possible, details will be posted here. All who knew him are welcome to join us in this time of great sadness. We are trying to arrange with the GM's some way to create a permanent memorial to Kirian/Sean in Usi, and we request that all players respect this memorial, whatever it turns out to be.
Sean, all of us at Independent Manufacturers will miss you.

I met Kirian through His Wife, Kirian was a nice guy, the few times i talked to him was very enjoyable, unfortunately i hadnt gotten a chance to talk to him the last couple months, but i do wish to send my deepest Sympathies to his wife, and family, on their loss of a good man..... ----------------------------------------------- In the End , there can be only 1
Today we celebrate, for tomorrow we die

This should really serve to put the pointless bickering on these forums into perspective.
