This originated from a reply to the 'future of Eve' thread, but I really think this post deserves its own thread.

CCP's Chief Marketing Officer, the man behind the tagline: "We're not in Azeroth anymore."
CCP's Chief Marketing Officer, the man who used to work as the marketing director for the Xbox 360.
CCP's Chief Marketing Officer, the man who thinks its a good idea to start "aiming for a broader audience."

For some reason manages to get WoD which has like... nothing developed for public consumption to outshine dust 514 (annoys me to no end)
managed to sell rift rather nicely, if he can do that with a peice of @#$^% imagine what he could do with a real gold nugget?

It's probably one of the few ways they have left to entice people to leave high sec, if they aim EVE at a broader audience and tailor high sec to suit the whiners who need their hands held then those who can't stand the bleating will head to low, null or whiskey space just to escape the bubble wrap.
WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place... |
