I need 50 cents. I have 25 cents. It's 3 degrees F out. My car is covered with snow. The gas station is 3 blocks away.
I have multiple options.
1. ask a neighbor i don't know for 25 cents.
2. walk to the gas station in 3 degree weather.
3. start my car and go get a coke.
4. not get a coke and try not to go crazy.
5. mix some peach tea that has been sitting in my cupboard for 3 months and clean the empty dirty container in my fridge.
6. go online and pay 3 dollars for the same coke and make some poor guy drive it too me in 3 degree weather.
If you were in this situation what would you do and weigh all the options equally.
If by midnight you have convinced me I will do that option.

if anyone needs a coke that bad they should lay off the caffine! that addiction right there!
if it were smokes, id have been walking there instead of typing that tread so im not one to talk on addictions :(

Edit: I found a quarter woot!
I feel for ya dood. If it's cost effective (i.e. flat rate for the delivery, and not $3 *per* coke) then I'd say get a delivery guy and get a case or two of coke while you're at it. |

Yeah its kinda cold outside... I was lucky enough to grab supplies on the way home lol.

go to the gas station, ask the cashier for a bucket and a hose. siphon all the gas from ur car into the bucket. sell the gas. buy 1-several bottles of coke. take a walk home |

If 6 is a valid option, then that is the way to go. It neatly bypasses the 25c deficit in the winter cola monetary fund, saves the time it would take to remove snow from your car and drive to store, risking your life in the process, and the CO2 emissions from the heating you'd need to warm you back up again after going outside.
This way the other guy must brave the weather, use his fuel and above all, who doesn't like thigns being brought to them

the danger of buying in bulk is that you will drink in bulk, and i really don't think you have the willpower to not plumb 24 cokes together and drink the lot :P
though your posts will be intresting after that i bet ^_^

Iced Tea is far better tasting and far better for you than Colas.
I used to be a cola addict. After years of drinking cola, sometime around 30 I developed Acid Reflux for which I had to take daily pills to deal with until I realized it was the carbonated beverages that were doing it to me. Once I got off those my acid reflux went away inside a month (with treatment).
Carbonated drinks will RUIN your stomach lining. Take it from me, I came very close to developing a nasty ulcer from them. Stick to iced tea for cold drinks and coffee or tea for hot drinks. Stay AWAY from anything carbonated. Not only will you keep your weight down, thus increasing your likelihood of getting laid, but you will preserve your gastronomic system.
Believe me, waking up in the middle of the night retching up stomach acid is something you can live without experiencing. |

Aspartame is only dangerous in VERY high volumes. The kind of volumes where, if getting the aspartame in a regular beverage, one would have to drink enough of the beverage that it would kill you from electrolyte imbalance before the aspartame could hurt you.
However, over the course of a lifetime I can't imagine taking in piles of chemical sweeteners can be all that great for you.
The best thing to do is to make your own Ice tea through brewing and chilling, and then adding lemon juice concentrate (or pure juice of your preference. No pulp orange juice is a nice alternative, as is pure cranberry juice) and unbleached cane sugar (to taste). Then just put into water bottles or a large decanter, keep in a fridge and drink as desired.

what this guy said, i had basically the same problem and trust me having extreme stomach pains almsot all day every day is not fun  |
