I can easily afford to play ... finding the cash for a new laptop is a whole other issue.

The continuity is only for your account on their database, they could simply stop releasing clients for free and make it a pay per download, because the EULA you accepted gives them the power to do so.

Pointing at the EULA is fun, but meaningless. All I was doing was pointing out the absurdity of you pointing at the EULA. It pretty much says 'this is our game and we can do as we please'.
