So how exactly are the initial lists to be voted on generated? I want to know how to get into this process for next year. =D

Previously, it was done at FanFest, but when I had someone ask to have my site entered into the running this year, they were told explicitly to wait because the process would be done through the Eve-o website. This is mainly why I'm annoyed by it; not because my site isn't there, but because it never had a chance to be, despite being told it would  .

EVE-Central.com is missing from the best service/application category.
This omission alone makes this whole category null and void, the "winner" will not have been competing with the best in their field. |

Feels like they recycled the same names from last year...
A hefty number of the alliances of the year crashed and burned a while ago, no alliances or corps in the newcomers catagory, a good-but-there's-probably-better array of sites for the webby catagory.
MM doesnt get a mention for alliance? There's quite a few newcomers that could have made worthwhile mentions, TEARS/Suddenly Ninjas just to name one. Noir.'s site doesn't even get a mention for best corp/alliance site?

Look, obviously some of the nomnations that are on the list are out dated (Hydra as an example), so I guess the list was made pre-fanfest and updated during fanfest, and then published now.
Everybody seems so skeptical and down about many things, but just play along and maybe next years nominees will get better.
Things can only get better, because things start small, as EVE also once was.

Adrielle, I'd be interested in seeing your site. Just a friendly suggestion, though. After seeing your post I grew interested in looking at your site but could not find it anywhere. So, I'd recommend including a link in:
your sig; in game bio; and in game corp description.

Nominations for Alliance of the year:
BoB: Huge contribution to 0.0, both when it wins and when it loses.
Goonswarm: Biggest alliance in Eve, controls multiple regions and has more "character" then many alliances.
But after that it starts makeing less and less sense.
Triumvirate: Good PvP alliance, and managed to destroy multiple alliances but this iteration didn't survive an entire year. Far less acomplishments then Pandemic Legion who destroyed their and other peoples titans.
Kia and Dashio: Two alliances joined at the hip, with some significant achivments. One tortuga alliance makes sense, but two?
Hydra: What else is there to say, nominateing the NC alliance that got destroyed in a fairly short amount of time near the middle of the year by a minor part of the MAX offensive?
Not Morsus Mihi or Razor the two alliances who stoped the MAX campaign by wining the biggest capital battles in Eve's history and then retook Hydras space and the rest of the north in a few weeks?
Not AAA whos actions completly changed the balance of power in all of 0.0?
Not Shadow of xXDeathXx the third largest alliance who quietly took control an entire section of 0.0?
Does anyone at Eon even play Eve? |

In this instance I believe it would be more accurate to add the Band of Brothers vote to the GoonSwarm count, since a vote for a GS corporation is a vote for GS. I'm making sense here, right? |
