Voting for the third EON Awards is now open and will remain so until March 4th.
For those that don't know, the awards, administered by EON magazine, are to celebrate the efforts of the EVE community during 2008. Thousands of players voted last year, with Chribba and GoonSwarm deserving of their multiple laser-etched trophies, but will they be victorious again, or will new champions emerge?

I have no idea at all to be honest, the only thing different about our Griefwatch board to most is that our forums are linked from it, as well as our allies forums and websites.
For osme wierd reason we got put up there, I'm not sure why as we run a standard griefwatch front end pretty much.

I just looked at the cetegories actually, and these are a lot better than last year.
It's nice to see the writer's award turning into "Writer of the Year" rather than "Fiction Writer" as there's a hell of a lot of top notch guide and blog writers out there that have missed out on nomination in the past.

Some of those corp websites are actually just forums  Doesn't really match the description for the award: "A good corp or alliance website is more than a forum from which to boast and brag. It should be a destination - not just for members to mingle - but for potential new recruits to stare in awe at the potential soon to be unlocked by their successful application"
I'm mostly aggravated because I was told this year's nominations would be decided on the eve-o website, rather than at fanfest (though I had a few people there this time around just in case), and I spent a large portion of my summer developing a corp website which isn't just a forum. |

Hear, hear. I'm interested in hearing who these people are who voted, especially in the "Newcomer" award. I see a lot of 'out of game' ideas in there - when I expected to see names of people who have made a difference!
I thought for certain they'd recognize my 100+ person Alliance of Ninja Salvagers and Looters, since it's the first one ever, dedicated to the Profession and has brought it to the forefront. (Hell, I even made it into an EON article, and I don't see many on the list who can say the same!)

Not even bothering to vote ... must be 1st of april for EON ... No Vuk (new CSM chairman), no RAWR (holding of bob the better part of the year), no RAZOR ... forums that are nomineed for website of the year ... Must be the chinese eve awards 
Oh, and RAWR is gonna disband in 2009 ... there, that should suffice for a nomination next year
