t3 ships is confusing me, why not make T3 the new T1?

I sincerely mean that T3 is what all ships should be in eve, in terms of customization. T3 Should be the new T1 and T2 should be an upgraded version of that.

I also thought they were going to be cheap enough to replace t1 cruiser use, or at least be somewhere between t1 and t2. But some people seem to say they are going to be like super uber highly advanced pwnmobiles. I dont know what to think anymore.

We don't know if tech3 will actually be better than t2 when it comes to raw stats, it might be roughly the same sometimes a little worse sometimes a little better but just customizable while the other ships are prebuilt for those too lazy to buy the lego. We'll have to wait and see how it pans out, i'm in no rush to train up the skills for them because i'm going to wait 3 or 4 months before i even try buy one (although i'll be looking for good setups from the get go) since they'll be expensive no matter how easy it is to get them since people will expect to pay more and sellers will ramp the prices up, aswell as people buying them up desperate to get a new toy. ------

When you give someone something designed to suit their play style the amount of "power" they can get out of it can easily quite a bit stronger than someone with a 10% statistical advantage(often times more depending on the game and game rules).

For the most part, it's been a matter of stirring up the alphabet soup. There just aren't that many places they can go with this. Make them too weak, they might as well not bother. Make them over powered and they unbalance the game. Best of luck to them. I just don't see how this can be any more than lipstick on a pig.

So we can change any ship we allready have now into something else. Problem is the meshes have to be reconfigured. I think they build up T3 with that in mind, and next to the current model. With ongoing development like this it's difficult to "storyline" new features into the gameplay, and to change them all in existing code. It can be done by replacing all ships we have now with totally different looking customizable counterparts, but they didn't and it will be hard to explain if they plan that in the future, because, what IS T3 then? Just be lazy as end user, and wait and see what is comming... :)

So instead of needed a rifter to build a wolf, you can just sell the extra pieces, and another players can buy that wolf parts, and slap it on his own rifter?
