I hate it, when someone is invited and he just rejects the invitation. Worst thing is, you lose those 2950 CSPA-newbie-settings isk anyways.
This is a SOCIAL GAME as far as I know (or maybe im wrong and its all about yellow lasers and red crosses...) It's ok that a dude is shy in real life, but why being so in the computer aswell???
Or do they think Im sending an eve-virus? LOL this is not a msn messenger .exe attached file, but a damn single conversation. Many times im trying to contact haulers, or new miners, or talk about something is happening which can be of his interest. Sigh. Daniel, 24, from Spain. Have fun and fly safe =) |

Or maybe they dont want to talk with you. Get out, go to the bus station and see if everybody there wants to talk to you.. then come back and admit you were wrong

A long time ago, people would mess with other pvpers by having their fleet send mass convo invites to someone they were trying to gank. From that point on, people set auto reject, at least while they are fighting.

Edited by: Navtiqes on 16/01/2009 12:40:06 Dozens of reasons. The most common ones would be:
*They don't feel like socializing at the point in time. *They don't like you.
Some people will reject blind convos out of principle, but you could try saying something in local first. |

I don't just reject them, if i'm in the middle of a battle and they bother me with those pop-up invitations from hell, i find them and put them in the HURTLOCKER! Oh yeah!
Might be lies though...

Because when you're fighting for your life in some skirmish, the god damb convo popup can get you killed.
Don't do it.
If you want to talk to someone, end them an evemail asking them to convo you. |

I play in Highsec. When a random strange convos me, it's always been one of four things.
1. BUY ISK NOW!.
2. JOIN MY CORP NOW!
3. Hi nice ship u want do 0.0 perwpewpew wit me??????
4. Wow! You and I are in the same highsec system! Isn't that cool! We should be BESTEST FRIENDS FOREVER!
So, yes - I autodecline most convo invites. I have no interest in dealing with ******s who randomly covo. To wit - you. ----------------

I used to think like you OP
Reason why I have autoreject on pretty much all the time these days, as these are all I've gotten :
1. Hai, I am your wartarget and I'm spamming you with convoes so you can't lock me or fight back properly while my two neutral alts are standing by to remote rep me just incase.
2. Hai, I am an upstanding member of Eve and I...
- Offer expensive items and/or service.
I can't seem to get buyers, I'll sell to you for a ridiculously too good to be true price and this definetely isn't a scam.
- Am impersonating your CEO and/or friend
It seems my subscription has ran out on my main and I need to borrow some ISK that I will pay back once I have access to my main wallet again.
OR
Hey let's go run a mission in lowsec.
3. Hai, can you give me some isk please? I saw what ship you was flying and decided you must have lots you'd want to give away in your wallet to me a random stranger, I'm also going to abuse and insult you just before you block me if you say no.
4. Hai I convoed you by accident it seems, but now I'm going to abuse and insult you for asking me what it was I wanted.
People are jerks basically.

As an Alliance CEO, I receive Convos all the time that I am forced to ignore/cancel, just for the sheer fact that sometimes I'm only online for a short amount of time, and need to get in, do what I need to do, and get out.
I'd like to talk to everybody, but sometimes, it's not an option.

I'll only reject them if I'm:
a) busy (in combat, for instance) b) afk
Otherwise I have no problems picking up the phone to see who's on the other end. :)

I reject (and sometimes just minimize and ignore so they can't try again) convo requests because I'm busy and don't really have time to watch even more chat tabs flash.
If I'm just sitting in a station watching TV then I accept convos (if I look over and noticed it). |

In a nutshell, this.
I don't want to talk to the random bums on the subway either, but at least they occasionally have something humorous to say. What do you have to offer? |
