We all pay to play the game. What is wrong with having a ship with 0 cargo and 0 drone space to jump around with? It would allow people to gather and fight as well. It is hard enough to get people together. It takes forever to get things done now there would be tons of more action in Eve (the kind people would want to see).

There could be a compromise here... you would not be able to use it in 0.0 space and that would not ruin the mechanics of unsecured space.

there is a way to jump from one side of the universe to the other... it's called clone jumping.
there are reasons why you can't take your ship and magicaly jump it to the edge of space, without going thru all the systems between the 2 points... like the fact that you could be guarding the gates to a sector of space one moment and have a fleet sneaking up behind you the other moment.
but your asking for jumping without taking your ship... so clone jumping would be what you want...
set your clone to clone in a station near to your destination (preferebly a station with a cloning service, then undock in a shuttle, eject from the shuttle and press the self destruct button on your pod.
in about 2 minutes, you'll be on your way to your destination*

Titans and jump drives were suppose to be in the game already. The skill has been around since day 1. Clone jump is not a good solution.

Clone jumping is sufficient, just park a ship at several points of interest to you in the galaxy and jump around whenever needed. Sure the clone costs like 2 million, but that's 15 minutes work so should be worth it.

jump drives were meant to get from system to system for titans who are to big to use a stargate
yes titans were supposed to be in the game already but in the latest csm they said they were gonna re-design them since titans are supposed to be mobile mini-stations that can carry frigates.

jump drives were meant to get from system to system for titans who are to big to use a stargate
yes titans were supposed to be in the game already but in the latest csm they said they were gonna re-design them since titans are supposed to be mobile mini-stations that can carry frigates.

You just made a contridiction with what you said. You said it could be used to gather people together for the type of action they like to see... PVP im guessing. PVP occurs in 0.0 space. So this would make this ship idea totally pointless and out of the question.

All I want is the ease of movement here driving around in 1.0 areas just to get do it serves no purpose (for me) but wasting time. If I want to speed up my game that is my choice if you like driving around in shuttles that is your choice don't force it on the rest of us with your lame reasons.

why not have a shuttle service instead of piloting dam shuttles
i'd rather pay like 500k for a transport from 0.0 space PO station to empire space, if i only have a BS in a PO station, at the moment i have to take it all the way back to empire!
i want to be able to press a button and confirm it, then get a popup screen like the ones that appear when the dev's and GM's tell us about a broken system
a simple popup saying "currently in cryo-freeze transport, arrival time at XX.XX.XX at XX:XX time, currently XX:XX away"
that way if i want to move ship's i don't have to mess about with shuttles, i mean shuttle are all well and good if ur picking up skill's and 1 or 2 small items, but seriously, a universe advanced enough for cloning, space travel, and massive stations, and they haven't got a simple transport system for passagers yet? it's just not right!

Hmmm, I bet when you started playing eve you were amazed by the size of the universe? I was! Scale is such a big part of the eve universe and your proposal would ruin it, just cause you want a lazy way of getting around.
Sure it takes a while to travel huge distances, but hey get in a shuttle or an inty and go make a cup of tea! Or plan better and as someone else mentioned, take the time to make bookmarks.
We have simple cloning technology and simple space travel nowdays but I can still guess we will never manage to magically appear at the other side of the universe at will!! No matter how far our technology goes.
I know you pay for the game and I know your time is precious but don't ruin the experience for the rest of us who have time to appreciate one of the finer points of the eve universe!

Has everyone just forgotten about Interbus?
I was led to believe that shuttles were a stopgap until interbus was released. Look in the chronicles for it.
