Captain Zienna Caldari Deep Space Pioneers Inc.	Posted - 2009.01.20 09:48:00 - [1] Hi all, Just wondered if anyone could help me in my search for a good kernite system to mine in... So far i used fluidorbit.co.uk to look up systems, but in the belts i have found there was not many Kernite roids. Please contact me via here or in game. Thank u. CZ

Thenoran Caldari Hegemony Enterprises HEGEM0NY	Posted - 2009.01.20 10:32:00 - [8] Kernite exists in high-sec in three ways: 0.5-0.7 in Amarr space, you'll have to search a bit though, and usually the roids are around 2-4k. Exploration, high-sec exploration have many Omber/Kernite sites in them. Missions, not sure if missions provide Kernite in their asteriods but some do give Omber.

Kernite is generally available in much larger quantities then Veldspar due to Veldspar being mined to oblivion lately. Even a simply 5k Kernite asteroid would be equal to a 60k Veldspar roid when it comes to volume. Just because Trit/Veldspar is worth the most, doesn't mean you can mine it the most ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...

CZ Yeah because only HARDENED players can go out there to mine it, cos no one else will, without losing a ship or 10 lol. Most 0.0 systems outside of drone space have a pretty good amount.

Remove some of the obvious trading post sales and you'll have a pretty decent idea of where to look. Keep in mind though that area's where kernite is accessible, especially in high sec, tend to be mined out the instant they are spawned and miners such as yourself usually end up with the crumbs.

It just amazes me that people even mine in HiSec. Literally ANY 0.0 system will make you several times the money that HighSec will. Oh, and skip LowSec entirely. THAT is the most dangerous place to be in Eve, not in 0.0 space that is controlled by an Alliance. Make a deal where you refine in Alliance stations, or donate a portion to the Alliance for the War Effort, and they'll happily let you mine whatever you want wherever you want.

Korizan	Posted - 2009.01.21 01:03:00 - [32] Despite all the obvious trolls as nobody would waste time mining kernite in 0.0 as there is much better roids for isogen in 0.0. But more to the point considering the current going prices I would take a serious look @ mining something other then kernite. And yes if run the numbes in perfect conditions then kernite is the best but considering how much time is wasted in partial cycles and even finding kernite it really is not the best ore to mine for the most profit per time invested.

Main problem I see here is getting into 0.0 and out of it again, had a hell of a time getting into Vale on many occasions (Obe <-> P3EN-E) before I decided Dark Ochre (the best stuff available) wasn't worth it. Usually when I mine I use the minerals for something. Also, you would mostly be restricted to nothing BUT Mining, although if that's all you want to do go ahead :P
