Aretha Franklin's rendition of "My Country Tis of Thee" was, well let's just say it should be forgotten about. The speech was meh, didn't really say anything unexpected. And somebody PLEASE tell the lady reading the poem that poems are recited, NOT read! I've heard high school kids read poems 1000x better than that.

One thing I noticed was that all the US news channel feeds had the video delayed by up to 30 seconds compared to the BBC, I guess they were afraid that Barack would drop the F-Bomb on live TV, or Michelle might have a wardrobe malfunction.
