So today we have some of the largest scams coming to light.
1. Xabier scammed 125bn give or take from the MD forums. 80bn or so of that from dbank.
2. CRTF scammed 29bn from the MD forums.
3. DBANK has lost from my best estimate 1/4 of there running ISK. Can they really keep there rates at there previous levels? Will there be a run on the bank? Will they run on our money (my guess).
What do you all think?

From the DBANK PDF Xabier was heading up the Investments Division. It also states Investments had an operational budget of 50b. This indicates that 50b is the amount Xabier had on hand from DBANK. |

My mistake - read it after posting.
My understanding is that Dynasty keep enough liquid ISK to cover all deposits. ISK that is locked down for several months is exactly that so a run crashing the bank looks unlikely.
I'm curious too if this will affect the rates of return they will be offering. Provided the rate is higher than Ebank (though less secure)there will still be a place for them - I don't see them folding.

Xabier:
* Payment not made
* IG Bio initially stated away for a few days
* IG Bio now states "Thanks for the fish"
That's basically it. There may not be a scam there at all. But it makes sense that he just finished garnishing cash on a new 50b bond and taking 50b of DBANK's cash and decides to scam with it?
We will soon find out but at this point it doesn't look too great. Xabier had his hands in a few different pies as well so this could get a little messy (no, nothing to do with EBANK) |

Your recent large "corp theft" in Code Red, several of these close buddies (or alts who knows) running IPO's and Fitz Vonheise another Code Red CEO trying to put himself into a position to be a new chribba with his many failed attempts at getting a reputation as a trusted third.
Well, my scammer senses be tingling and honestly, only the most naive among eve players would give any trust to high ranking Code Red affiliates at this time.
Your alliance isn't even a real alliance, your ventrilo servers hold about 4 people online them at any given time, the only capital fleet Code Red has ever put in use is REPO's and frankly, there's nothing to indicate that Code Red is anything more than a poorly ran front for scammers like yourself and Xabier to garner some sort of trust for IPO scams, as seen here.

I am not going to pass judgement on Xabier, as it isn't proven yet to be a scam. But....
CTRF / evn789 was the biggest glaring SCAM attempt I have seen in ages on these forums. Not trying to be smart but LRN, myself and a few others pointed it out clearly but no one wanted to listen.
Summary
1. SCAM rate of unknowns with over 10B is 50%, now 66%
2. CEO involved in character sales (huge flag)
3. IPO didn't sell out in a month but CEO kept plugging away
4. (The biggest giev away). I offered to buyout the IPO if a quick audit was completed to prove he purchased BPO's. Amazingly the IPO sold out to "his alliance/whatever".
5. The expansions were a nice touch. Easy money.
Will investors ever learn? Unlikely.
Takeaways
1. NEVER invest in a no rep player asking for over 10B without knowing the risks. It is more than likely going to be SCAM
2. NEVER, EVER deal with someone who has either been sold or sells characters
3. Don't go for expansions too quickly
Will the market recover. Maybe.
Do you still trust the results of an audit?
Are you happy with who is locking down the assets of something you invested in?
Who is there left to trust?

I think if D-Bank goes down, this will create a general mistrust towards banks, and other banks might follow, because people will try to get their money out of the bank in masses.
The collaps of player-run banks may smooth the way for an official eve centrel bank run by CCCP (Dr. Eyog mentioned it at fanfest), which will allow to invest money for a little interest.
Everything goes according to the masterplan so far.

Exec Order, a Director of Dynasty Banking, was online briefly (from work), and I talked to him. He told me that we have strong reserves and that we will be able to honour withdrawal requests. We hope that customers will give us a few days to find out Xabier's status, but we fully intend to continue running Dynasty Banking.

Who else is still working for DBANK, and how are they going to clean up this mess? If DBANK decides to close, I hope they at least honor the current set of CDs, or just pay them out early.
From what I've heard, Iknota retiring was due to real life problems, and I'm not even sure if it is a permanent retirement, although we have been looking for one or more new tellers to replace him.
As for who's working for the bank, I still am, and Manalapan may choose to reveal that we have one or more new employees, at a later time.
