hahah
So this Exec Order (a Director of Dynasty Banking by your own previous description) assured you and the investors that DBANK has "strong reserves" and will overcome the 86 bills scam by Xabier but both Lexander and you haven't seen this guy around much. Is that what you're saying?

Strange, ha? Unless he is satisfying a vital need such as the communication with the rest of the DBANK staff via another char.
Either way, promises such as "strong reserves" will just not do here. An audit must be performed in order to determine the Debt to equity ratio and ensure that we don't end up with another fully fledged Ponzi on our hands.

With all due respect lex, you aren't helping Dbank at all, i realized you "quit" and you can say whatever you want but if you every had any loyalty to them you'd frankly Shut-up. There is already going to be a run on the bank, you don't need to add to whatever problems already exist.
and as for the Ponzi/audit... its to late, if Dbank is going to scam they'll do it now. People will be pulling money out enmass and if there is a Debt to equity ratio problem, telling the public that is only going to ensure its end.
As you can tell I still have faith in the bank. My isk stays. If you cant afford to lose it don't let it leave your wallet. |

Originally by: cosmoray I am not going to pass judgement on Xabier, as it isn't proven yet to be a scam. But....
CTRF / evn789 was the biggest glaring SCAM attempt I have seen in ages on these forums. Not trying to be smart but LRN, myself and a few others pointed it out clearly but no one wanted to listen.
Summary
1. SCAM rate of unknowns with over 10B is 50%, now 66% 2. CEO involved in character sales (huge flag) 3. IPO didn't sell out in a month but CEO kept plugging away
4. (The biggest giev away). I offered to buyout the IPO if a quick audit was completed to prove he purchased BPO's. Amazingly the IPO sold out to "his alliance/whatever".
5. The expansions were a nice touch. Easy money.
Will investors ever learn? Unlikely.
Takeaways
1. NEVER invest in a no rep player asking for over 10B without knowing the risks. It is more than likely going to be SCAM
2. NEVER, EVER deal with someone who has either been sold or sells characters
3. Don't go for expansions too quickly
Will the market recover. Maybe.
Do you still trust the results of an audit? Are you happy with who is locking down the assets of something you invested in? Who is there left to trust?
other issues
If Xabier scammed with some of DBanks pot, will DBank survive?
Not to take away from you here (because in this case you did right), but your % is back to 50% Just Cause is doing his buy back as we speak.

I'm sure that what will follow is the exact replica of the the feeding of the 5,000. Manalapan is most likely busy multiplying 2 isk and 5 BPOs to nourish the hordes of empty handed investors.

I would just like to post here for the record that the teller(s) at DBANK swiftly processed and transferred my withdrawal request in a very timely fashion.
In my mind, this has increased the faith that I have in them to continue running a successful operation - whilst my withdrawal can be viewed as the opposite of that, I and you all realise that no investment is 100% secure and I plan to return my funds there once things have settled down a bit. -----------------------------------------------

I did just pull my money out of D Bank until i can really see what is going on. But i do want to say i asked for the withdrawal about 2 hours ago and got it already. so that alone has helped me keep faith in the bank.
Again once I see an official word on everything we will see if i redeposit.

As I said in Lex resignation thread, mass withdrawals will only hurt DBANK. If they are legitimate (and currently everything points to them being legitimate) they need a bit of time to assess damage and enact proper statements explaining the situation and plans of resolution. The purported 86 billion taken by Xabier constitutes about 15% of the total cash floating around DBANK so its definitely not a lost cause.
Just remember that when considering a withdrawal guys. Every bank and large entity has growing pains and various drama bombs thrown on it. Two factors will determine the outcome of this drama.
1) The determination of DBANK's employees to bounce back 2) The willingness of DBANK's employees to bounce back.
One could assume Salpads current posting and the withdrawals still being actioned means that point 2 seems true. So lets not make point 1 harder to achieve for the DBANK guys. Contact me ingame Manalpan or Exec, I want to discuss ways we can assist you with getting past this road bump. |

To be honest I was going to put together an IPO over the next few days here, but after what happened today I can guarantee that it would not launch because to many have been *scammed* so the withdrawal was really the only way for me to act on the opportunities that came about.
It's too bad i would have rather started an IPO to start building an rep, not that they will be worth too much for awhile.

Lots of players might be interested in spreading their investments.
From one point of view, the main lesson of this affair is not to put all your eggs in a single basket.
Last year, during the summer, I made 3 small investments in 3 different IPOs and all went well.
You might have a good chance of your IPO isn't wildly ambitious.

I'm not only an employee at Dynasty Banking, but also a customer. Right now, including a recent deposit, I have 5.4 billion ISK invested in Dynasty Banking, and I expect to throw a few more hundred million ISK at them within a few days.
On top of that goes the fact that I enjoy working for the bank and working with my colleagues (plus a nice monthly salary).
All in all, I'm pretty damn motivated.
And by the way, Manalapan complains that you're not online, so he can't convo you.

since it was my first one was only going to ask for 1 bil. i know that might be alot for a first time but i have that much of my own to work with already.
Maybe i will put it up and see what happens and if people take it then reinvest. we will see.

Don't take what I say too seriously, because I don't know much about finance and IPOs, but my guess would be that if you try with an IPO much smaller than 1B ISK, people won't take you seriosly.
Between .8 and 1.5 billion ISK might be a good place to start. Most IPOs require people to invest in units of 100M ISK, so if you make it very small, you can accomodate very few investors.
Also don't promise too high interest. That's what scares lots of people. About half a year ago, I thought 10% per month was reasonable. Now I'd say 10% per month is really nice.
Are you going to get an audit?

I would have no problem with one, it would show that I've effectively doubled my money in less then a month, and honestly i was looking at 10% because i can easily hit that, again I will have to wait a few more days let everything settle and then I may move forward and see if there even is interest for one right now.

You don't have to promise a fixed interest. You could be sneaky and promise "6% to 8% per month, maybe slightly higher if I get lucky".

I could but honestly i have no problem giving people a good return I's be doing it for fun and for the rep building as I've said have the capital myself already, and I'm working getting POS's online here over the next little bit to start a new revenue source.
I really hope this doesn't affect the secondary market and make it too hard for new people to start that they don't bother. |
