Hello i m new on eve around 9 months and i makes big mistakes on the start with training skill.
Now i start to understand the game i have this skill with out any use to me because i know what i want to do and what skill need to learn now.
What about if i can unlearn this skill i don't want to have it in this character and delete this skill as well, and then use the skill points in a other skill ,will be very useful so i can have better character for me more complete and i can compare with older players in any part i want to play in eve online.
I find some pay for that 2 with 4 plex be fine. Or you can make a level list skill and plex like 10mil skills 1 plex 20mil skill 2 plex 30mil skill 3 plex and go on
I know the plexes go on high with this patch
I hope you can help |

I'm against being able to trade SP around for different skills.. Even with a penalty of ISK/PLEX/Fraction of SP/etc..
That being said, I'm all for being able to delete a skill you have trained. Remove the SP that isn't needed.. Ideal for people who have a lot of SP and are trying to keep Clone costs under control. |

Before allowing players to post on the forums they need to perform a forum search to unlock the ability to post on the forums. Once they have managed this they can gain access to post on the forums; but the new topic button should link to search automatically with a further search required that must return 0 results before they can successfully create a new topic in General Discussion.
Or something similar. |

It does. Several times in one week as well. Perhaps if those slave owners had the opportunity or wherewithall to read up on slavery they may have had a different perspective on it.
You know - educating yourself about the body of knowledge about a topic before trying to pretend you know everything about it is a good thing.

Dont wory, i have almost 90mil sp, but in fact i dont use them even i dont get any benefit for them, since 3 months this character sitting in Naga battlecruiser, so in fact i use only skills form gunery and battlecruiser tree, so around 85mil sp is waste of time because they useless while i use only one ship, would be nice to have drone bay in Naga because i have over 6mil sp in drones but life is brutal ;) If it bleed we can kill it. |

Saying from C J Langenhoven: "Lee pyp, hou toe jou kraan. Netnou sien hul jou vir 'n volle aan" Yeah, I'm sure the European Dark Ages would have turned out differently, if only the leaders of the church had read up on those topics. Lazy buggers. Shouldn't have burned those books, eh?
Or, sometimes people are just so convinced that their opinion is the right one, and will quelch all talk about it GÇô because in their head, they're just tired of hearing about it; 'cause you know, they already solved it all n their haeds and with the people who share their views. In MMOs we call those 'bittervets'.
But yeah, I'm sure those slavers would have had a change of heart had they only gone to the library. It's all because they didn't have the facts.
In other news. Don't like a topic? Don't reply. If the rest of the community agrees with you, it will sink to the bottom of the forum pit in a heartbeat. If not, maybe people aren't done with it. |

So what exactly is your objection to trying to collate the body of knowledge on a topic in one location? |

Just playing devils advocate.
Reverse training. Not really capsular story friendly in you just forgetting tech. Unlike poor grade clones as that is permanent loss. Reverse training would slowly delete a skill at the same speed you learned it, as you cant learn anything new while you wait. but you gain back 150% of your SP overall for time spent to reinvest. Its not SP/time efficient as you lost the SP in training time among the previously trained SP. but one would gain back more useful skills if you spent a year going the wrong way. But I hate my own idea.
If your that far down the wrong hole, you could just make a new pilot in the right direction. |

If not, maybe people aren't done with it. So what exactly is your objection to trying to collate the body of knowledge on a topic in one location? Edit:Here is one example in the last 3 days where my sarcastic earlier response would have helped out. There is already a useful body of knowledge in that thread where common, recurring themes are covered. Do we really need more noise/signal ratio on the forums? Or would it be better to extend the current discussions on a topic? <== This is what I want. I have no objection at all against that.
But you're doing it wrong. It will happen if people find another thread to post in GÇô not because they used the search function, but because they stumbled upon it by accident.
It will not happen because a bunch of people here make a crusade out of going into other peoples threads and telling them how they should behave on the forum.
Seriously, how many people do you think do what you are telling people to do? Use the search function before posting anything, just to see if there might be a thread somewhere with a similar topic?
Like I said. Ignore it. It's not like you can't tell from the title what it is about. So if your only reason for clicking the thread, is to go write something off-topic, just don't go there at all.
Obviously, if other people reply and start a discussion, they want to talk about it as well. Or should we all start out by using the search function to see if there are any topics on these forums we want to talk about. I mean, so we don't post in the "wrong" threads?

Few points:
(a) Initial response was said in jest. I cannot seriously expect posters on a MMO forum to behave intelligently; I'd have much better luck herding cats on catnip.
(b) The thread title says: "Idea of non-useful skills on a character". This could be a proposal to create non-useful skills that flesh out a character concept, it could be secondary / tertiary skills that enable other content (Such as WiS related skills or ship painting skills). The thread title does not give you a full topic. Thus, you click through. At least I do, because it sounded interesting.
(c) When you pay my subscription you are welcome to tell me what threads I am allowed to post in and which threads now. So take your moral crusade and shove it.

(b) Again point taken. Still didn't require a post once you read the OP.
(c) In light of your later argument. Kinda a weird ironic stance to take, no?
But yeah. How 'bout we both let this thread sink then?

Not entirely true! Off the top of my head, tactical shield manipulation 5 (Used to be a prereq for capital shield boosters), warp drive op 5 kinda sucks when you're trying to burn up cap to make a partial warp (when you want to scan a gate without warping to it), and I don't think there are any ships that can lock as many targets as multitasking 5 gives you (Unless you count logi with autotargeters strapped on). |

1.) Could I please change my name? This one is dumb. I was drunk when I thought of it. As we all know, if we say we were drunk at the time we shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of our actions.
2.) Could I please change the race of my character? At the time I was really into this oriental thing, but now I feel like pretending to have street cred, and ebon-empathy. Let me get my skank on and turn myself Minmatar Brutix.
3.) Could I please redistribute my skill points? At the time I was taking advice from some yahoo on Rookie Chat who kept swearing up and down he was going to be an ISD soon, and he'd NEVER lead me astray from the truly cool - I beat you at your own game, suckahs! line of training.
4.) While we're at it, could you please make the insurance payouts the exact current market value of my ship and all its fittings? It's just unfair when I lose the ship that I actually LOSE the ship. All the OTHER MMOs do this. Why is CCP lagging behind??
5.) Could you have (finally) all the CEOs from the best corporations send me a personal invitation to join, so I can quickly decide just to whom I'll lend my ++ber skills?
Thank-you in advance. I'll be looking forward to these obviously needed changes (to bring EVE up to speed with all the OTHER MMOs) in the next update. Oh yes. Please add 500 billion ISK to my main's wallet for compensation since I brought all this to your attention. Last i checked EVERY skill had a use... just because you are not using it NOW does not make it useless...
You own a car? Phone? PC?
Are you using them 24/7?
No?
Are they useless?
Deal.that makes skill training pointless all you need to do is PAY to WIN and respec whenever you want. |

Calm down and take EvE easy, after 4-6 months you can have heavy assault ship + medium guns t2 + some interceptor + other frigate t2 + decend skiled battlecruiser even more, remap is somthing (new in game) im old player but i play over 3 years withaut remap abbility because some time ago here was no remap avalibe... Remap boost your skills like crazy and in fact new players can learn 2x faster form start than old players curple years ago. If it bleed we can kill it. |

Being able to unlearn or refine/reimburse skills at maybe a 50% loss of SP would not hurt the game at all.
It would however be of great benefit to alot of players I'm sure.

Removing skills and giving skillpoints is always dumb, and there are very definite reasons for it.
Reason 1) You could slingshot yourself into a ship by training the pre-reqs, then burning everything below them on the tree to get the ship skill (such as taking you skills for AFs, refunding it, and putting it into CS to get better at using the sleipnir)
Reason 2) You never have to re-map, because you can get two skills max, and continually train that one skill, and refund it into other skills. Even at less than 100% efficiency, you get the bonus of being lazy. Laziness should never be rewarded.
Reason 3) Role Playing. If I choose to forget something, that does not mean I can learn something else faster. If anything, it would make you learn them slower because you would not have any of the semi applicable knowledge.
Reason 4) No skill is useless. I trained mining when I was starting out, then didn't touch it for 8 months, until my corp needed the minerals to build an orca and we had a mining op. Those skills came in handy then, though 4 months before I would never have thought they would.
Reason 5) Life isn't fair. You didn't know what you know now. Sucks for you, shoulda done research. You want to do something else now. Well, you get to start from scratch, just like every body else.
