* 2500 new solar systems * These are accessable only by wormholes * Wormholes are completely random * Wormholes allow only certain mass of ships through untill they collapse * These new solar systems has new NPC factions with stations * New faction NPC rat loot and salvage will be source for T3 ship production! * You can't claim sov in new systems!!! * You can place POS in new system, but fueling it will be tricky since you have to find a new wormhole to get there!
* Only access to these new systems is via wormholes, NO cynos, NO jumpgates!
ABSOLUTELY AWESOME CCP!
THANK YOU MILLION BILLION TIMES!
Large alliances, have fun in your POS warfare, rest of us are going exploration with 100%!
This will be massive for this game since everyone can find a wormhole and go in new solar system to get T3 components. Of course large alliances will try to fortress these new systems, but now they will not have chance to BLOB with capitals there.

Wrong. Those wormhole systems wont have stargates and NO stations either.

Wrong. The NPC parts/loot is a part of the t3 parts, not the only one.

I guessed as much, but it still gives me a thrill as I like new content such as this.
I'm slightly worried about what'll happen to probe scanning but having found "impossible" to pin down gravimetric sites multiple times now I can only hope it is some improvement over the current system. As long as none of the scanning skills we've already trained aren't made useless I'll be willing enough to try something new.

I hope this works...
Or what will happen, is a wormhole will appear in low sec, alliance will camp it's entrance and take advantage of whats inside and keep the little people out.
We'll see... |

Having seen it in action, I can tell you it's not dumbed down. In fact, it will be slightly harder due to how the results are given.
But I can confirm that it's pure awesome. |

QQ more about big alliances.
Small corps accomplish small things, big alliances do big things. If you don't want to be a part of something large, don't expect anything great to happen to you.
I hope BOB, NC, and whoever else camp the **** outa these systems so I can taste your pathetic little tears.

OK i'll reserve judgement until it hits sisi, but it better be challenging cause the current system of probing makes you have to think about where to put your probes and work at getting the best possible coverage by using your skills at math and dropping bookmarks in midwarp :P |

Edited by: Naga Elohim on 26/01/2009 16:32:56 This is what I've been waiting for.
I remember first playing this game and being awe-struck at the sheer magnitude of the game. In addition to the to the content, the feeling of exploration and seeing new stuff was always driving me.
I felt like Ive seen it all, untill this announcement.
I say keep doing things like this often and this game will never get old.
Thanks, Naga |

Looks like they are going all out to try and make the expansion space something for everyone before it's just taken over by alliances and pirates with capital ships and tech 2 gangs.
I don't think it's gonna work though.
Once they get there all they gotta do is bring 30 of their friends and camp all the stations.
This is ours now! Farming time! |

I thought it was going to be released in two forms... 1) Eve in a downloadable selfextracting update 2) Eve in a box published by Atari.
Where will I be able to get the special edition that comes in a Nutshell? |

If there can be no cynos in those new systems, can a capital squeeze itself through the wormhole? Say, an industrial corp finds a nice system to mine expensive ore and wants to get their rorqual there, can they? |

Well when WoW came, i was bored. When Burning crusade came, i bought it "just for the fun of it". When WotLK came, i had to buy it 'cause i had the rest.
I've not set foot in either expansion yet
In any case, i've been a long known WoWEVEr |

but the wormholes will only let in so many ships, once that many ships are in, the wormholes closes. and if you don't have a probe ship, the whole entire alliance fleet must commit suicide.

"A pilot who stumbles across one of these stellar phenomena can fly through it and travel to unknown space, where there are no stargates or stations, just the unexplored void of a new solar system."
The tl;dr in OP is wrong. There are no stations out there. |

How do you work that out? You're talking about multi trillion isk alliances with dozens of alts at their disposal.
They can dock up and just camp there, come back when they please while doing 50 other things on their other characters.
It'll take them a bit of time, but they'll soon have all ganged on up these existing npc stations.
They'll find a way.
Give it a month and BOB and Goons and their pets will own all this new space. |
