I'd suggest a little research before using these points. You'll find good guides around with skill planning.
Follow the tutorial ( (you'll receive a 80,000 skill points mini injector as tutorial reward) and do all Career Agents missions to receive a few goods and free ships.

Hi to all new pilots. Welcome to EVE. The best open world, sandbox MMO there is.
The game has been running strong since 2003 and constantly gets content and polishing updates without any extra costs.

It's great to get a reward if you decide to go Omega (premium account status) but it's a little nicer to get something as an Alpha (free player) too so here is my offer:
- 2.5 million ISK to you when you sign up using my buddy link. 2.5 million wont make you rich but when you're first starting out, it helps a ton and most offers here will only reward you if you go Omega, at least this way you get something to start out with even if you decide to play as a free account holder. (Offer good for one character only)
- If and when you decide to go Omega, then I will send you an additional 600 Million ISK.
- And the signup system also gives you 250,000 skill points when you use a Buddy Link to sign up.
Some tips for new players:
1. When you signup select the option to notify me of your signup, that way I'll know to send you 2.5 million ISK next time I login (I login every day). This will also connect you to me so that you can send me in-game mail if you have any questions about Eve Online.
2. Don't skip the tutorial because it will reward you an extra 50,000 skill points on top of the 250,000 skill points for clicking my buddy link.
3. After the tutorial do all 5 of the "Career Agent Missions" as all 5 will teach you more about the game.
4. Don't spend your skill points right away, you can still train skills without them, skill points just makes it faster. However, if you think you will be going Omega, then hold on to them because Omega accounts have skill training time reduced in half. This means that if you use your skill points as Omega the you will get a lot more out of it than if you used them as a free Alpha account.

The only problem with your plan is that CCP do not display name or any other ID of the buddy after you upgrade. So there is no way how to prove, that upgraded was Three Fiddy account and not some Four Fiddy.
Imagine, that you created two new accounts via someones offer. Let name them One Fiddy and Two Fiddy. You upgraded Two Fiddy and mail your buddy donor from One Fiddy. In that mail you write, that you upgraded One Fiddy. You give your donor buddy exact day/time of the upgrade, cause Two Fiddy is also in your hand, so you know exact moment, when Two Fiddy was upgraded. You buddy donor gives One Fiddy the reward and now you mail him from Two Fiddy account, that you upgraded using his link. Donor will tell you, that he already payed the reward for the account, that was upgraded at given day/time. But you can threaten, that you will petition him about scamming. And you can really do that, cause Two buddy was really upgraded. Your donor has only two options left - he will pay the reward twice or he will not be able to post any more buddy invitations.
Thats why there is no point to ask for reward people, who are not your buddy in real life.
