Using Cedega under Debian 5.0, works but the universe is white and not black on my laptop (ati x1600) desktop machine is fine though.

One account here, one and a half if you count my girlfriends :=)
Wine on Ubuntu 9.04. Run it without any fixes and optimizations, so, alt-tab doesn't really work more than 10% of the times. Logging out and logging back in again makes sound disappear.

Wine, 4 accounts (yes am sad like that...) Gentoo/Sabayon/Ubuntu9.04
The main thing IMHO that prevents EvE from being properly cross-platform is DirectX... it's mostly a python app with a set of windows api calls tacked on AFAIK... I wouldn't cancel EvE if it became impossible to run it under Linux, however, I would definitely play much less and downsize to 1 or 2 accounts. |
