You can always have the killer scream into your ear over teamspeak while maxing out the volume if you want to feel the pain.

on pod death- reformat hard drive PLUS reconfigure the bios of your computer so that it will not boot anymore, and charge $1000.00us to the credit card you used to pay for the account.
role play that the generation of a clone requires extra resources on the server-cluster in england and needs extra subscription fees.
or ... how about not change it at all.

Excuse me sir, but that's the dumbest suggestion I've heard in a good long time. If anything EVE needs the timesinks taken OUT and here you go suggesting new ones.
I think people podkill too often already and your 'solution' is abysmal.

A couple million for the clone and ~100M for a set of implants isn't hard enough?
You must be one of those people who played Diablo II on hardcore.

I'd say the loss needs to be reuced, many people like me wuld like to pvp but I'm not risking 90 mil worth of implants, the high cost of death keeps many people fighting a ship loss is already expensive enough.

reduced hell no
increased i would feel that making the Clones more expensive would be ok
as long as CCP dont add aditional clones (a+++++++++++++++++++++++) i think we are ok cause eventuelly you will (hopefully) get to a point where you will have more SP then the best clone on the market covers then you will get a SP punishment when you die
Several +'es removed. - Orestes

Ok don't update your clone then and you will get the kick in the nuts you desire. 0.o It's not you... no wait it is you. |

I vote for the hard-drive wipe. I know several people who play from work, I'd love to pod them and ask them how they explained that one to their IT people. -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Why?
Somehow my clone can remember how to fly a variety of ships, shoot lasers, shoot mining lasers, use all manner of modules, remember that he left a basic something-or-other in a backwater system thirty jumps away... But somehow, he forgets the coordinates to, say, a given station?
That must be wonderful! Unfortunately, I don't understand it at all.
Originally by: Kitten Hearder How about permanently killing the character after being pod-killed? Make it REALLY mean something.
Fear not, brave carebears! Though the inclusion of permanent death would make EVE the best MMOG evar(tm), it simply will not happen. It's too late in the development cycle for its inclusion - a game with permanent death must be, from the start, designed around the fact that a character can be reduced to providing worms with nourishment.
PD is not something you can just slap on a year after a game has been out in retail.
Quote: Oh noes 100 millionz!
If a person can afford a top-level clone and a hundred million worth of implants in the first place, they should have no problem replacing either in the event of their pod's destruction.
It isn't exactly hard to make money in EVE. --- Having recently acquired a lab slot (thank you, rental bug), I wholeheartily concur, there's absolutely no problem with lab slots! |

Here, do this instead:
You lose ALL your skill points (Role play: The clone is only made when you first start out and not since then)
And you lose all your money! (Role play: Looters take it after you die.)
And why not, you also get a -1.5 standing to every corporation (Role play: Ahh forget it, just don't die ok?)
Now THAT's a kick in the nuts. -----------------------------------

Greater losses ? You people want LESS pvp in Eve ?
My god , just hire someone to beat you up whenever you die , in fact , if you really must "feel the pain" I'll do it free .
