It's a shame the narrowminded amongst us feel insecure about playing the game with people who don't speak the queens english. I've played Starcraft against Koreans, some are really nice players, some are egotistical weirdo's, others are cheating swines. Sound familar? Yes, your probably sitting on teamspeak with someone very similar no doubt in a western country.
Mass cheating? I'd be a fool to say that the majority of map hacks in starcraft didn't come from korea, but with that in mind i'd have to say that SC's success in Korea _MADE_ SC what it was, anyone care to argue with that?
I do have one worry, more players? Better servers CCP.

To hell with the new customers! All it gives is nerfing of battleships, so that newbs can have fun as well. Besides newbs lag. Had a node drop recently? There you have your newb. Back when I was young we didn't have them node drops. Just CTD's. And grid sploiters. And dmg mod stacking. And harvies for 22K ISK. And no penalties for mwd. And Cu Vapors!!
/me shakes fist at CCP!
P.S. one more thing I miss is the good old bouncing around when hitting something in warp. I used to ram afk miners in my dominix with 2 mwds. Muahah!

I don't care what language a person speaks. I do care if EVE is suddenly overrun with bot using hordes. Now I don't know for sure if asian gamers are more likely to do that sort of thing but if they are it would not bode well for EVE.
Tbh I think I would like it if I couldn't understand what most people are saying in local.

Mining macros aren't a real promblem in EvE.
Outside empire space it's just suicidal. And if people can't anchor secure cans in >0.4, Macros are only ore thief fest. |
