I've already seen a few sterotypes in this thread. Let there be no more.

Originally by: KIAEddZ Oveur. Thailand, China, Malaysia are MMPORG *****s, always have been. A little bit of advertising, and hihi, double your user base (imho, that would be a very very understated estimation)
You forgot the most monster-munchkin-³ber of all.... Koreans!
They are scary

i've seen the "release" of another mmorpg in asia. The most of asian players ended to unite because of the barrier of the language... but the EU/USA players didn't unite in one alliance, they continued killing each other
I don't know what happened after... i stopped playing mk 2 years ago.

that's not against asian, but more players (bigger market) always mean more attempt to cheat.

No plz, South Korean would take over NFA, CA, and Venal, in one weekend. Those people have 20Mb broadband with 80% saturation. You have no idea how game-savvy those folks are.

Maybe CCP are letting us all get 20+ mill SP before bringing in the masses, so we have a little chance _________________________________________________________

let me just ask one question
Why was there no ads in the US
I ocasionally see ads for EQ used to see them for E&B often see them for oh forgot the name that WW2 game
also navy seals for PS2
I have never seen a comercial for EVE Online (that should be easy now as you can download it online)
I personally got lucky i saw EVE at the store (local walmart) it was cheaper then homeworld and sounded better then E&B (wich i got for free as a bonus when buying another game) so i bought it
i was hooked within the first 30 days and have not looked back
however i do not understand why i dont see commercials for EVE hopefully after Shiva you will also advertice here in that states as the states has some what 300 mill (yeah that number may be way off) peoble living here yet EVE only have what 50k members
Thank You Paw Sandberg

Yeah, release EVE in the asian market.
You know the asian community of most other MMORPGs is just incredibly beneficial -------------------------------------------- CONCORD: Kneecapping Pilots for Misdemeanors Since 2003 |

Why dont you go to online places where asian people find out about online games and tell them there.

Probably because the western players already had a huge advantage over their asian counterparts.
Back in the old days of UO when they opened some Asian servers me and some friends jumped on there to see if we could have a little fun. Needless to say we knew all the tricks of the game, they didn't, and we got away with murder when it came to killing, stealing, tricking, etc.
Now imagine that advantage- except that we all have 15-20M skill points, 10 ships in the hangar and, and a freezer full of steaks. Couple that with the fact that there is simply no_way to catch up to those who have been gaining Skill points since the game began. Sure, the advantage will gradually deteriorate little by little, but it will always be there.
