i came into the game with alot of a different agenda then i came out with so i couldn't say, other then that normal good life is boring

Mainly, the fact that combat is theoretically non-consentual. Of course, with safespots, log off exploits (die you wretched scum), big glowing dots that say "People Will Shoot You Here" on the map.. Combat's still fairly consentual.
But it's still more non-consentual than it is in other games.
Plus the fact that those crazy people in Iceland had the absolutely ridiculous idea to not create yet another clone of DikuMUD with graphics(tm) helped, too.

cause it doesn't have a leveling treadmill. I don't care what they say about all the new MMORPGs coming out, eve still has the best skill based progression system around. one where you don't have to be on 24/7 to beat those kids in korea/china who play so much MMORPGs so much that they don't notice their bowels have imploded.

Cause I was sooo sick of UO (for the third time round after having tried out some others too) with its warrior/mage/dragon stuff and decided it was time to switch mmorpg's again.
Looked around a bit and landed on the Eve site.
Went reading the forums on different Eve-related sites and decided to give it a go, been hooked like never before ever since.

5) To get of the "streets".
I was dealing with some soft drugs and vandalising.
I once visited an old school mate of mine and he got me intrested in roleplaying and he "saved" me!
But now im stuck here, its almost the same. To combine the total different types of living, which i both like, i sometimes pack my pipe with some fine "superskunk" before playing!

Found it by accident on Google, as an ex Elite junky it looked and sounded great.
That was almost 2 years ago, signed up for Beta got in on the last 6 months of beta and been here ever since.
