ditto.
When did anyone last hear that he was still working on it (excluding this thread - there's always one. Often it's me)?

And Moses was content to dwell with the man:and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom:for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land. |

I know but the most recent interview in a magazine said it would be released 2006. They have been keeping their business alive (Rollercoaster Tycoon - Wallis & Grommit etc.) while developing core technologies for the next Elite.
I am keeping the faith, lol. And mods, it isn't off topic - Braben mentions Eve in the article :)

I bought eve because I was looking for a new MMORPG after EQ ****ed me off by all the nerfing of original game content. (*cough* take note CCP *cough*)
Nothing like putting tons of time into a game to have what you worked for so long taken away, and in the case of EQ sold back to you in the next expansion (WTF?!?)

I bought EVE cos my dining table has a short leg and the box is just about the right thickness to level things up.

hear hear, Eve is hands down (and even with all it's problems) the very best and most widespread (in as far as what you can do) mmorpg in existence.
did I mention that the skill system is revolutionary?
