OK first I know itÆs just the test server but CCP please for the love of all that is good in your game make them at least a 5x with a long list of pre-req. This is T3 it should be a pain in the but to get into. There needs to be some order here where players that have put in the years to playing get somethingÆs that the kids donÆt. Please if anything re-think the multiplier
Just because I can drive does that mean a 4 year old can?

how youre supposed to test the ships if you cant fly them on the testserver. TQ still can have a longer skilltime

T3 isnt a better T2, it is a different option. It shouldn't be very skill intensive. We allready got capital ships which take ages for new players to get into, no need to get more ships which arent realistic to get into for players who played less than 2 year.
Everytime you lose a t3 ship, you lose a skill. Have fun training that lvl 5 skill again and again. |

Exactly, it's a test build, not the final skill requirements.
In fact it would be great if all skills behaved like this on SISI. |

T3 is NOT better than T2. It's different. Just as T2 isn't necessarily better than T1, just specialized.
And the T3 skills you will LOOSE once the ship blows up (not everything, but a percentage of it). Making them x8 would **** people off to no end since they keep loosing them. |

Bingo. To my mind, they're rank 1 skills because you're expected to train them several times.
Is it me, or is it ironic that there are simultaneously "don't put in skill loss on subsystem skills" and "subsystem skills are too easy to train" threads in the forum?

Yeah heres soemthing you get with t3 and not with t2..SP loss. Happy now?
You're the reason we cant have nice things.
Off topic though, I'm actually quite glad of the SP change. It should help to drive down prices and reduce demmand, therefore letting supplies build up to reduce prices even more. This way t3 ships might not jsut be hanger queens and get used by even the poor vets *gasp*.

I dont get it. It is not more powerful then t2. Just different. It is more expensive. More skills to train for. I loose skills if I die.
So why should I bother to fly such a crapy "stuff"???

Presumably because where it's "different" (and not more powerful) than T2, there will be lots of times/situations where it's different in a good way. Otherwise the balancing will have failed, and you'd have a good point. |

To the OP. T3 subsystem skills will remain rank 1 imo because unlike other ships in the game, if u die in a T3 ship u will lose 1 lvl of 1 or more of the subsystem skills. So at rank 5 thats at least 200k sp's gone if u die. also theres 5 subsystems skills for each race from how i understand it atm. so thats 20 new rank 1 skill to train up if u fly all races (as i do) so that in itself is a pain in the ass.

What the guys above me said. Also, this isn't a levelling game where 1 < 2 < 3 and by the time 4 comes out, 1 becomes useless.
If you're hot on levelling stuff I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction. |

Each sub system requires a rank 1 to 3 (x1-x3 time) at skill level 5 (5 days with 4/4 learning skills). The Strategic Cruiser itself needs cruiser 5. From get go your talking 6 skills at level 5 one of which is rank 5 (x5 training time) thats longer than it take to get into combat recons or any of the other tech 2 cruisers.
You often find that the skill requirements to train another skill are alot less than actually flying the ship. |

They are trying a completely different approach to item cost balancing. Not only will losing one cost you actual time as you lose a skill level, you have the cost of skillbooks to take into account as well as the fact that the ships themselves will probably be insanely expensive depending on how hard it will be to 'convince' the Sleepers to relinquish their loot.
You may be able be able to drive a car, but getting finance to actually use that ability is an entirely different story. |
