[1] QuickFit 0.9s This tool I made is a remake of ShipFit. It is not looking as good as the later, but has more functionality I think. Just try it, its free anyway... It will be a pleasure for me to correct bugs and making it evolving with your ideas and bugreports. Please send me ingame mails or private-message on my corp forums (here) If you like the tool, you can always send me some donations or help me to have cool price on minmatarr hardware It will be a real help to the poor pilot I am... I hope this tool will be as handy for you as it is for me On a technical note, the code is Java written, the database are the one given by CCP (so will be as "up to date" as ccp will deliver files....) and I will release source code once it will be more stable and cleaned ! (at the moment, it is a bit lack of documentations on source-code..) (elegance-corp.net) Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

Would love have a tip on a Stabber Fleet Issue I hope this tool will be as handy for you as it is for me Please, first time user, download the STABLE version, because the UNSTABLE/INACURRATE version won't let you have a nice use of the tool..... I release an UNSTABLE version for people to "beta test" and help me transform the unstable into stable. So basically, if you just wanna use it, take always the STABLE version. [3] Ha ha, awesome! Looks excellent - still wish I could get my program to read the .cache files too, then I'd be set! I'll still finish mine up when I can because programming practice is always good Very good job, you have a winner on your hands -------- I use homeless people and small children for fuel. |

[5] Great tool, looks really nice so far. I especially like the log at the bottom, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside to see what the program is doing so I know things are being applied. Just one quick bug I noticed, dmg mods are only being applied to the first gun fitted, and not all. Looking forward to seeing how this program develops, really love the features + design so far. _________ It is with a heavy heart that I wander into the kitchen and begin rifling through the knife drawer. |

[11] addendum for above: it doesn't really freeze, it's just it takes really long to load when clicking on anything on anytab (NPC in the NPC tab, a skill on the skills tab, etc.), having then no refresh in that time (then it looks like it has frozen). I'll update my JRE, 'cause I'm pretty sure it's quite old, it's prolly the reason of this ;) Originally by: Mangus Thermopyle |

[17] The bug about damage mods will be looked at, a shame I didn't see that before release... The "slowiness" on some machines is due to the old JDBC version of you JRE probably, also java is not known to be very fast :) But I think updating JRE would help as you said. NPC is also heavy database seeking that is why it almost freeze on your machine. But on every hardware I have tested it, it seems to work with no problem relative to speed... I use java because it is the only way to develop this tool at work without being noticed. I would have loved doing it in C++ or Delphi, but simply not possible :) PS : I do not compete, just didn't knew that other project where in-line |

[27] Edited by: Trelennen on 01/10/2005 17:38:12 Hum, currently running into a calculation bug for pg, can't figure where is exactly the thing going wrong behind the scene though: Ship: Jaguar, 40mw base grid Engineering 5: +25% => base grid now 50, 'till now everything ok. Now I fit 2 shield power relay II, each should give 10% to grid. First one get the ship to 55.0 mw, ok. But second one get it to 60.0 instead of 60.5 (maybe just a visual bug here?). Adding a third gets to 66.0 instead of 66.55 the same way, so I guess the number is truncated somewhere. Still considering pw calculations: if i fit a micro aux power core (with nothing else), I get to 60 = 50+10 pw, whereas I should get to (40+10)*1.25 = 62.5. So it looks like the skills bonus are not applied to the power given by the micro aux (I only can guess how it's coded behind the scene, but would think you applied skill bonus on base stats, and then made the calculations, as most items gives % bonus). This issue is not there with capacitor when fitting cap batteries, so I guess you just have forgotten to transpose this type of calculations for mapc ;) On a side note: I think it could be quite useful for some fitting to have somewhere an indication of the recharge rate at peak of capacitor and shield at peak (specialy for shield) like in Kristine's Ship Fitter. It would be of great use when trying to build a passive shield tank setup (for the shield/s at peak), and would help to have a quick comparison regarding cap with cap/s at peak (cap/s at peak is more or less optional, but as it's the same formula, it should not be really more work). All in all it's a great too, really, and being made in Java allows to run it on linux easily too :) [Edit] adding a seach line for modules could be cool too, but can't really figure where to put it. Handy when you know the name of the module you wanna fit ;) Originally by: Mangus Thermopyle |

[29] I'm getting incorrect calculations for cpu + powergrid, due to the program truncating them to integers. [37] Great man. By the way, concerning my lagging issues (and the freeze when clicking in the NPC tab), I checked and had the latest version of the JRE, but with that new build I don't freeze anymore on the NPC tab :). Still lagging, but it's on my laptop, should try to run it on my home computer which has a much better config :p Keep up the good work. Oh, and in the suggestion part of the QuickFit webpage, you forgot to put an indication of shield recharge / cap recharge at peak (at least shield recharge would be really great). And also (just thought about it after a post I recently made), maybe a shield simulation tab where you could enter some DPS (divided by damage type), and activate/deactivate some modules in the way (well I see it really useful mainly to test passive tank setups, as for active tanks with cap issues, it would need to be interfaced with the cap simulation too). It's just an idea, and could request quite a time to code (and to figure out the best way to implement it), so don't bother too much about it :p Originally by: Mangus Thermopyle |

[39] The bugs I had before seem to be handled. However there is some other stuff I need before I can really utilize this program. You have an "Add Effect" option to add in custom effects like "Implant Bonuses". However, you have a very limited list. Would be really helpful if you could add in all the "Hardwiring" implant effects to that list as well. Sort of hard fitting when I dont have my implant bonuses for RoF/Cpu on Guns and ect. Also want to suggest updated the faction DB you have. I know it's a pain but maybe a new option to create a "Custom" module. That way it could save you the trouble of trying to update the DB all together. Just an idea though being I see no faction webbers! =) Good work still though, hope you continue to work on this project. -Famine Aligher'ri, of The Aligher'ri |

[41] Nice job, new version is working great so far. :) A few issues, these aren't really bugs just some things I thought may need changing. Items are showing their id numbers next to their name. This gets a little hard to read at times, would be better in the attributes window. Cap transfer section is incorrectly labelled, it asks for "every(sec)" when it should say "every(msec)" Dmg mod displayed in attributes is now rounded to 3 decimal places. I preferred how it was in the old version showing the full value, as that's how it displays ingame. Wishlist Being able to select multiple weapons to display the dps of, instead of just individual or all. Adding a line to show dps taking reload time into account i.e, (dmg*ammo_capacity)/(ammo_capacity*rof + reload_time). Turret implant effect bonuses (dmg/cpu/cap). _________ It is with a heavy heart that I wander into the kitchen and begin rifling through the knife drawer. |

For module that are missing, they are all in the database but a flag is telling if they have to be showed or not. Tell me wich modules you would have to see and i'll "unveiled" it ine the database. The reason why I don't giveou every module is that there is really many of them and it would be a pain to navigate in the lists if they were gloated with un-existing modules.. [49] Wow, nice update, so many new features . Looking forward to playing around with this when I get some free time. Two quick bugs I noticed while having a look at this version. - After loading x amount of drones to test dps of, its impossible to return to 0 drones in the dps calculation. - Heavy Drone Operation skill isn't affecting drone dmg. _________ It is with a heavy heart that I wander into the kitchen and begin rifling through the knife drawer. |

Looking forward to playing around with this when I get some free time. Some quick bugs I noticed while having a look at this version. - After loading drones to test dps of, the ammo & charges page will always display the dmg for at least 1 drone even if 0 are specified. - Conversely, after loading weapons to test dps of, the drones page will always display the dmg for at least 1 weapon, even if you have removed it. - Heavy Drone Operation skill isn't affecting light/medium drone dmg. - Error with the drone pages 'Total DPS for all firepower of the ship'. Drones are giving their base dmg value (4, 9 or 22) instead of the actual dps. _________ Posting 'First' or just emoticons gives you AIDS |

[69]Originally by: Rahzelk I noticed a bug with cap rechargers, with my "intensive" 10 min testing. CPU needs are not reduced. Then for the suggestions... Equipment-tab: Could you please remove CPU and PG from attribute list and make them visible all the time. Perhaps with highlighted color to stick out. Furthermore, could you add two columns for every slot window. One for CPU and one for PG showing fitting requirements individually for every module. This would help a lot in locating the problem areas in fitting. Finally, please make the fitting constraints optional. This would help a lot in designing MK2 ships beforehand (or any other not-yet-in-game-ship). New tab: Compare I like the idea about ship compare. I'd like to bring it step further by adding a new tab where you can compare two setups. The current setup and a saved setup. NPC-tab: You could make more use of NPC database, if you could select any of the NPC active. This could be used for example in ammo & charges -tab. HP and resistances would be updated with npc values. Perhaps even repairing or shield boosting if possible. Ship-tab: Not so important, but it would be nice if you could add your own ship. This could be created as an empty design or based on any existing ship. I hope I'm not asking too much. Keep up the good work. It'll be worth a few mill isks! |

[73]Quote: Corrected for next release Quote: If I find a place to put this information clearly, I will. One must admit that the current equipment tab is quite gloated :P Quote: I understand it would be a good GUI addition. How I'm gonna do this is however not encouraging me, as I'm not familiar with JAVA interface. I will try to find a way to show up this information. Quote: I should be able to do this quite easily... Just have to find a place to put this option ;) Quote: Don't understand. How can you compare 2 different setups ? To compare something, you must have same kind of things. If you have a web and a scramble on one side, and 2 ECM on the same ship on the other side, what will be the point of a comparaison ? Please if you have a precise idea, other than put two ship side by side, then develop it and we'll see if and how it can be done. Quote: Yes, this change could be nice. I'll do it. Quote: Use the "customize" in equipement's tab. You can create your own ship and own modules based on existing ones. They will then be saved in your "favorites". Missing the 99% reduction to Gang mod CPU usage for battlecruisers Please check that you have setup your Battlecruiser Skill to at least lvl 1. Same goes for every missing ship bonus (covert ops, mining barge) : please check that you have set up the skill before report the bug. As an exemple, 10 pilots report me Enyo resistance wasn't good. But they all forget to put Gallente frig lvl5 in the skill panel, as a result they do not have expected resistance on their fit. Thx for all your report and suggestion. I'll do my best to bring solution to your ideas. Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[91] I know it could mean quite a lot of work, but how about adding the transversal velocity and sig radius for damage calculations? (and then take into account tracking) Some questions (Q) and further improvements possibilities (I) for this Ammo tab: - Q: are max ammo loaded and reload time taken into account for DPS and time needed to kill opponent? If not it could be great. - I: don't know how easy to fit in the screen it would be, but it would be great to be able to set shield/armor/structure HP, and shield/armor resists (as well as one entry for global structure res, as with next patch damage controls will add resist all to structure - as well as armor and shield too - so structure might have a non null resistance, but will have the same for all damage). Haven't tested recent changes though. Oh and by the way, I tried to launch QuickFit on Linux, and add the following error: Quote: I don't know if there is something non portable in the code, or if I'm missing some package though (previously I had troubles with odbc drivers I hadn't install, maybe I just lack something to make it run ;)). I always add some issues with understanding such errors outputs generated by programs even whith programs I developped, so I really could not say ;) But indeed the line Quote:seems to say it's related to the access to the MDB database. Will try to check if I may have missed some mandatory package here :) (anyway, i'll prolly go back to win on my laptop, as I've some troubles getting the specific laptop functionalities I'm used to, and would need to run quite a bunch of other progs which require DOT.net environnement, and don't want to premanently use WINE on nux, but it may help other people though :)) Quote: |

[97] CPU usage of Micro Auxiliary Power Core I Not 100% sure this is a bug in the program or in the game. MAPC takes 15 cpu, when I fit them in game this is not effected by Energy Grid Upgrades so fitted they also take 15 cpu. But in your program the above skill effects the CPU usage stating they will only use 12 cpu (at level 4). Hopefully someone else can test this to check what is correct. |

[99] Umm, just downloaded version 0.9y, ran the .bat, but nothing happened after that. No program opened (except a command window for a split second), no error messages, nothing. Am I doing something wrong? Did the .bat install the prog in another directory that I can't find? I tried to install the Java that is required, but the download page is down at the moment. I am hoping this is all I need to do because this tool looks awesome from the screenies. |

[109] Couple of things. x2 worked fine for me in windows. z crashes as soon as I import a character xml file. Neither version works in linux as you are calling ODBC drivers which only exist in the windows world. It's a shame make a cross platform application like this but then limit it to only running in windows because you are using ODBC driver calls that are NOT in the standard java library. |

[111] Few new issues. First, one I haven't be able to check on the last version, so maybe it has been fixed already: in 0.9x, shield upgrades gives a bonus to shield booster grid, which it shouldn't. I have quite an annoying issue with the last version: I can't use it if I want to use skill effects: when I change a skill, import skills from xml, or load previously saved skills, I get the following error: Quote: I then can't select a ship, can't fit a module if a ship is loaded, etc. Each time it does nothing and gives the same error. If I delete dbEve.ldb it works again, until I try to modify skills/import from xml/load from file. I upgrade my JRE to the very last version but it doesn't change a thing (from 1.5.0_04 to 1.5.0_05). Luckily I still get a version of the 0.9x to use :) Oh and by the way, I noticed that sometimes when changing skills, values on fitting tab are not updated, I think only for PG and maybe cpu though (like increasing engineering skill, or advanced weapon upgrades skill). If I unfit a module, then they are updated, so I can refit the module and retry to fit the module I didn't have enough PG/CPU for ;) Quote: |

[121] Edited by: Trelennen on 10/11/2005 23:48:21 Well, works great with last version, that's cool. I love the new presentation of ship slots (easy to see which module uses as CPU and grid). Will look at the advanced functionalities soon, it looks cool. Oh, while i'm at it, haven't checked for newer version, but is there a way to set several kind of drones (for example 5 ogres 5 berserkers) instead of an amount of only one type of drone? For the portability, i'm pretty sure it's possible to access an access database via java under linux, as long as you get the ODBC related package under linux (JDBC-ODBC bridge), but I think you used some microsoft specific command in the ConnexionODBC class (as prior to install the right packages, I had another error which was related to the ODBC drivers, now I get the one I gave earlier, so I guess it's related to the way you connect to the database, given the name of the class the error lies in). If you manage to get this portable, great, else, it's not a big deal (you'd still have the solution of using wine to run it I guess, haven't tried though, don't want to mess with wine yet ;)) Edit: in last version (0.95), there's still a wrong behaviour for shield boosters, as quickfit make them benefit from the shield upgrade skill, whereas they don't benefit from it in game, which result in less pg use in quickfit that they do in game. [128] span style= font-size:7pt i Edited by: Trelennen on 15/11/2005 08:56:31 /i /span br With 0.95 version, once fitted, 280mm artys II show as 280mm artys I. Values damage, rof, etc. and fitting are those of 280mm II though, so it s only a cosmetic bug br br edit: I know why it appears as 280mm II, and it s not related to this particular item dunno why I didn t notice it earlier . It s just the string which is showed on screen for fitted items is truncated at 26 characters if I counted well , and a good amount of items have more than 26 characters in their label, and nearly all items in my fitting get truncated on screen. As size of the police used to show items label is smaller than in previous versions, and I didn t remember of any truncated string before, nor of any label to wide to fit in screen issue, I think you could have the complete string showed. br br I can only guess it is a consequence of the changes you did on the showed lines for module slots, which now show the used grid/cpu, prolly due to a limit to the complete string grid/cpu info item label , as the grid/cpu info seems to have a minimum number of chars with spaces instead of numbers if there is no number to show . As spaces are hard to count, I can t figure out the exact number of chars used for this info string, but I would say around you have [ then minimum 4 chars for the grid more if there s 5 digits at the grid number then space then | then space then minimum 4 cpu chars then " then space, which would then be 14 chars for the info string at minimum. You then have an effective limit for the total string at 14+26=40 characters, which is an odd value for a programming limit, I'd have understand 32 or 64, but 40 is not a binary value. PS: tested with custom capital modules, with 125000 grid (6 digits) and a name long enough to be truncated, and there is only 24 characters from the label that show, which confirms my guess of a maximum size of the complete module info string ([grid | cpu] label). I imagine you could safely extend that maximum size to 128, which would allow to have nearly all if not all modules labels shown without being truncated, while still having no issue of strings overflowing outside of the screnn size with default size values (currently the string use like maxium 2/5th of the fitting area, which means you could show like 100 chars (so maybe 96 chars would be better than 128 ;)). Good job with all the new things you added recently though, and with all the bug fixes ;). Regarding interface though, I read before that you had troubles to have areas which stretch, or resizable areas. Maybe looking closer to some of your objects could give you the solution (at least for the stretching/no stretching part), as you have some objects which stretch when you resize the window, others which don't. Few weird things: - skills tab: save/load skills buttons stretch verticaly and horizontaly. Vertical stretching makes things weird (import XML button don't stretch at all, add effect / help buttons stretch only horizontally, so checking the configuration differences between the two should give the answer ;)) - skills tab: bonus choice drop down stretch vertically, doesn't look very good in full screen on a 1600x1200 ;) - level box is smaller when window is bigger?? - maybe not make the disclaimer box (top right) stretch vertically, it'll give more space for the effect panel. In the same way, not stretching spaces between panels which gives more space for the effect panel, so more visibility here. - ship tab: same thing for ship description box, would be better with no vertical stretch - drones tab: same idea for the drone description panel (between drone list and drone characteristics), the drone name box, and the spaces between panels in right part, no need to stretch vertically. Drone description panel could use less height (=> more space for the attributes panel) - cap sim tab: do not stretch vertical spaces around cap transfer parameters (these interface things are good on some tabs, the solution is here ;) - no char left) ===== !!! [137] For people who wanna try, version 0.96 is out. Rather a BIG version not in new feature meaning, but in term of technical modification. The database has been reworked to be totally open sourced (using HSQLDB) and you should be able to run Quickfit on any Java caapable computer. Quickfit will be alot quicker, but will eat a lot more RAM and will take a noticeable amount of time to "boot"... Maintain database up-to-date will be alot easier due to this new engine, as well as thanx to Xssassin that provided me with very latest ingame data. Well, apart from this very technical point, only a minor couple of things have been fixed, like shield booster bugs or T2 guns skill not being taken in account for damage.... Next version will have graphical improvment regarding the various things reported by Trenelen. Have Fun ! Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[147] Edited by: Trelennen on 19/11/2005 11:40:52 Ok, currently testing 0.96 on linux, it works, so it's better than before at least. Haven't start testing 0.96 on windows, so can't say if some of these issues are specific to running it on linux or not. - search function doesn't work (well, nothing seems to happen when you click the search button). - skills effects seems to be all messed up: Quote: Well you can see the Drones skill affect ship velocity, and give freakingly aberrant amount of speed too ;), and that skills which affect recharge time of shield and capacitor are messed up too (they increase a lot the recharge rate). - Energy grid upgrades has a very wrong effect on PDUs: level 1 => 70 CPU, level 2 => 120 CPU, level 3 => 170 CPU, etc., eg. 50 more CPU (250%) required per energy grid upgrades level instead of -5% CPU - weapon upgrades skill increase CPU need by 250% per level, instead of reducing it by 5% per level (I'd guess the exact thing is 251%, 'cause, the value of the attribute in the skill panel for this skill is 251, same for energy grid upgrades). - fuel conservation: skill increase cap need of AB by 246% (value in DB is 24600%), instead of reducing it by 10% per level. - warp drive operation seems messed up too - Drones skill: DB list a Speed Bonus of 251m/s (which explains the aberration above). All in all, it seems all these issues are related to wrong data in the database, maybe something went wrong when you imported the data. Most are only value issues, Drones skill have a bonus it should not though. Here's a few more skills i looked in the DB with wrong values: - cloaking: 246% increase of targeting delay instead of -10% - electronic warefare: 251% increase of cap need instead of -5% - electronics upgrade: 251% increase insead of -5% - hypereuclidean navigation (is this skill in game?): 5% duration bonus instead of 20% cloaked velocity - propulsion jamming: 251% increase instead of 5% bonus - same for sensor linking - same for survey - same for target painting - same for weapon disruption NB: well, seems there's really too much skills with issues, better look at what could cause this when importing the data, this shold solve most issues, and if some still have issues after that, we could check those specific skills ;) Good job though, keep on! edit: damage calculation seems broken - total damage/DPS shown only take drones into account Quote: |

[149] This is an excellent tool, however it seems to have inaccurate capacitor sizes for many ships. The Deimos had 1670 cap without cap mods for me using this program. Another issue is that the cap use bonus for the Oneiros (and possibly other SCs) is not taken into account. |

[151] Yes unless I find reason of data difference, i'll have to tell most user to use 0.95 version that is still available from the main site and where almomst all is working as expected... I'll try to do better data mining next week.... :) Thx agai trenelen for your valuable report Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[153] Please, first time user, download the STABLE version, because the UNSTABLE/INACURRATE version is really giving me some headache and anyway won't let you have a nice use of the tool..... I release an UNSTABLE version for people to "beta test" and help me transform the unstable into stable. So basically, if you just wanna use it, take always the STABLE version. Thanx for your time :) Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[155]Originally by: Rahzelk Just an idea, but you could try using OpenOffice 2.0 to convert your old Access MDB file into a HSQLDB file. Dunno if it's possible though, didn't manage to really convert the access data to hsqldb (with the base utility you can create a new base from a access db source, but it doesn't store data in hsqldb format like when you create a brand new base, instead the odb file only links to the access db :/ but maybe there's a way to do it). If such a conversion is possible, it'll allow to have a workable db for 0.96 until you manage to get better datamining for this version. Quote: |

[159] Just tested it on linux: - loading skills from the previous 0.96 version gives an error processing, not a big issue though, as xml import and loading from a save made with this version works. - when trying to activate a ship, I get the error there was version before 0.95 Quote: Then ship is not loaded (no slots at all). Search works though. Quote: |

[161] Edited by: Trelennen on 21/11/2005 19:32:06 on windows, skills loading from a save made with 0.95 doesn't work either. import from xml and loading skills from a save works fine too. No error when loading a ship on windows though, maybe it's linked to my configuration on linux, but would be strange, as both configurations use 1.5.0_05 version. edit: correction about the search function. It works but not perfectly: if you make a search on only one word (with no space), then it works, if you make a search on several words (eg. with a space in it), like "power diag", you won't have any result (same on windows and linux). Just saw the message on the equipments tab when you have selected a ship you don't have the skills for, that's a great additon :) Quote: |

[163] Edited by: Rahzelk on 22/11/2005 20:00:36 0.96e is out. Should not have the null pointer on linux, even if I still don't get how you got it :P I had done MUCH improvments to the capacitor regen in the simulation's tab, i'm rather proud of it...It is almost the same as the ingame recharge curve ! had some difficulty to do the "extrem low and extrem high" cap regen, but it seem to give something pretty reliable to experiment a fit with. Way way better than it did with old versions. About the "search module" : it was simply case sensitive, and did not match "power diag" with "Power Diag". It will now search for all upper, all lower and all first letter upper, and of course for your own typed. So if you search "power Diag" it will search for "POWER DIAG" "power diag" "Power Diag" and "power Diag". Had fixed some fitting bug appart from these major issue. Hope you'll enjoy it :) Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

For the null pointer, I just launched quickfit (yeah I know that wasn't wht you meant by "I don't know how you got it ). That's strange the search thing was due to cap sensitivity, as looking for "diag" or "power" gave the results, but "power diag" wasn't. Anyway if it works everything is perfect! PS: hope I won't make another post in a few, 'cause that would mean everything works fine edit: you didn't update the text for 0.96e on your page, it still says 0.96b ^^ Quote: |

[167] Edited by: Trelennen on 22/11/2005 21:44:50 Posted too fast, I still have an error (slightly different, but still alike, another null pointer exception) That happens (again) when selecting a ship to fit on linux Quote: Oh, and there's still some issues with the search: if I search for "power diag", I get them all except Power Diagnostic System I and II, if I search for "Power Diag" I got them all . "diag" will gives PDUI and PDUII among the results, "power" won't. In the same way, "ower" will gives results, with PDUI and PDUII among them, "ower diag" won't give anything, "ower Diag" will give good results (at first view). Really strange behaviour if I may say . For the search I suppose you use SQL commands and search through the database right? If I remember correctly there's options on the SQL functions to perform the search case sensitively or not. If you use another method, can't help (but there's probably an equivalent function to search case insensitively ) edit: for the search function, it seems it won't find items beginning with the searched string if case is not the good one. For example, searching for "gistii" will give only the 4 "Arch Gistii xxx" NPCs, searching for "Gistii" will give all Gistii items too, and the Gistii Ambusher NPC. Hope that helps. Quote: |

[171] 0.97b out. - Search should work 100% perfectly. - Totallly reworked GUI coding, so even if you don't see a difference in GUI, know that 80% of it has been recoded to be more flexible and easy to adjust for me, or futur coder when code will be released. - Cap is still adjusted, should really be good now for your test purpose... I will soon have to add some missing effect (signature radius for example) and with RMR I will have a huge work to update the effect. Thx to Xssassin, I'll at least have up to date data. Bad news : The bug under Linux is not yet discovered..... :( Maybe it is gone with the GUI rework ? I'll try to correct this for next release... Many people reports freezing with the latest JRE (jre 5.0 it seems...). I'm afraid I have no clue at the moment. You can try finding the JRE 1.4.2 elsewhere it should work then... [173] New 0.97c available. Only some glitches corrected, but it worth a download because it won't be updated for some days...(weeks ?). New packaging : program is now a simple EXE file, but you'll still need JRE. Multi platforme version is also provided on the website. Have fun ! Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[175] Love the program, it's extremely handy thing to have... one request though, is there any chance to get back the ability to resize/maximize main window? It really makes it easier when i don't need to scroll the tiny sub-windows just to check what's fitted in the high/med/low slots, and whatnot ^^;;; |

[177]Originally by: j0sephine May your wishes come true, the v0.98 should be filling your request. Please, note that is probably the last version I release until early 2006. I'll manage to improve the website and the advertisements that present my little software, doing a FAQ, some kind of manual (at least small "how to" for some tricks in the soft.) Background task will be a cleaning of the code source. When I'll have gathered enought feedback and bug report, i'll start to make the 1.0 version, that will be supported with a real website, and will be a real finished product (with a database update for RMR). I'll be then happy to release a clean code source for anyone to improve the product. Have fun ! Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

Loading from skills save file from 0.96b works ok though. But then again null pointer exception when selecting a ship. Haven't checked precisely but the error message looks the same as for the import from XML, and seems to be linked to the update of ship info - wonder why ship info is updated when importing skills from XML with no ship selected though . Manualy updating a skill raises the error too btw. Good luck with that nifty bug. I suppose resizing of the window will be for next version? (you said for 0.98 earlier, and at least on multiplateform version it doesn't seem to be possible, haven't tried windows version yet though, will test both versions on windows when I'll get time). Will maybe release a 1024 & 1280/ version, (one for each size). Windows XP problems seem to be linked to last JRE. If you experiencing problem with JRE 5.0, try the JRE 1.4.2 : http://javashoplm.sun.com/ECom/docs/Welcome.jsp?StoreId=22&PartDetailId=j2re-1.4.2_10-oth-JPR&SiteId=JSC&TransactionId=noreg For linux problem, I really don't have a clue... :( Will try to investigate with your reports Trelennen. [191] Edited by: Rahzelk on 02/12/2005 21:27:04 I lied : I said 0.98 would be the last until a while, but I realized that NPC panel wasn't showing in 0.98. So here is a 0.98a, this time is the good ! New website also, to have a better "advertisement" of the tool ^^ Do not look where you fell, but where you slipped. |

[200] Maybe I'm blind but I didn't see anywhere to fit rigs. If someone could show me what I'm doing wrong that would be great cause you can SEE the rigs and see their stats, but I can't seem to fit them. Neesa |
