1. RE: Infiniband - Do it do it...just do it. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I wonder if there is some processing that can be offloaded to the client, without risking client-side hacks to the game... That way, for every client in the system that is getting lagged, they have another computer in that system helping process i...

2. Speed is not Eve. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Ok, so let me sum up this thread... Some people hate that Speed can be used in the game. Others give several solutions on how speed can be countered. So the original haters say "But when a bunch of Nanos are attacking you is impossible to survi...

4. Login trap by Einherjar Rising, great tactic... - in Crime and Punishment [original thread]
Ok, it has been explained what really happened in this case, but aside from that (and please excuse my noob-ness if I am wrong), isn't this also something a Cyno field could have accomplished ?

5. In-Game Music (Nine Inch Nails ?!) - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Is there any way to point the jukebox to another folder so I can play my own music through it ? (I know it is asking a bit much)

Originally by: Jurgen Cartis Edited by: Jurgen Cartis on 16/01/2008 Or you can just buff clones 50% and save everyone 5 days or training. We have enough skills already, as Dr. Caymus' absolutely sick mastery of everything int/mem based ...

7. RE: Infiniband - Do it do it...just do it. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Originally by: Dr Slaughter Out of interest, is there any intention, to look at using Nvidia's HPC technology ( Tesla etc.) to do any of the grid battle calculations? I can't find where I thought it was mentioned. Some genius use of CUDA...

8. Do I need to upgrade my 486 for Eve? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
As someone else mentioned, this sounds like a memory leak (because it works well after a reboot and slowly degrades), but they were wrong to say the only thing you can do is wait for CCP to fix it. Memory leaks can also be caused by an outdated/b...

9. RE: Infiniband - Do it do it...just do it. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The majority of Infiniband users, use it simply as an interconnect between a server/cluster and the SAN that stores the data for that server/cluster. All this talk about directly accessing memory from another system seems a bit pie-in-the-sky to ...

10. In-Game Music (Nine Inch Nails ?!) - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Much of the soundtrack is quite bland, but this song, being a cover of Nine Inch Nails, actually interested me. If Eve really wanted to spice up the soundtrack, they would hire Robyn Miller and Jack Wall (Makers of the Myst Soundtracks)

Edited by: 3Z3VH on 15/01/2008 23:18:43 Has anyone noticed the in-game music, there is a track named "Nouvelle Revenor Hero" that sounds like an ambient remake of Nine Inch Nails' "In a Warm Place" ? I just thought it was odd when I firs...

12. Clone grades need some lovin - in Skill Discussions [original thread]
How about instead of an Infiniclone, they implement a Skill that increases the SP limit of the purchasable clones... say, 10% per level. That way people who wish to have a PvP-only career can work on this skill form the beginning and have the adva...
