I have no problem with DX9.0c, on SP2, but I did have a problem with onboard sound. I just turned down the music volumn in the client (crappy music anyway) and it works fine now! :)

Does the motherboard have a KT400A chipset on it? If so, turn down the music in game. Or try updating the sound drivers from www.cmedia.com.tw . That worked for me. :)
