Still having problems. 3ISPs, 2 OSs, 2 different hardware setups, classic and premium graphics, with and without router. Submitted pingplotter and logs, the reply was, "bug known, working on it". Meh, cancelled my subscription a few days too ...

The "Win XP fix" described above has a similar fix in Vista. I was able to get through an entire mission today after doing a few simple commands. See HERE for details, copied below to preserve for tomorrow. To repair and reset the Windows Vist...

Well, add another one to the list of socket closed people. Ontario and Cogeco Cable for an ISP. The open busy channels trick worked for me for about 3 days... running Vista.... got a router which worked fine before the patches even with wireles...

Well, I can now get authenticated but I am experiencing a good 3-4 min. wait for every command which requires a server response.

Well, I had EVE up and running in the background, and got timed out again, so I tried it again, and then came to post... Apparently posting fixed my problem.... Anyone have any suggestions anyhow in case it happens again?
