83. Frigates: No purpose post-beginner? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: Florio on 03/04/2009 13:16:10 It would be lovely for more t1 frigates to have a unique niche role that is not outstripped by their t2 cousins. For instance, the rifter's niche is a general excellence, the slasher's niche is a cheap...

85. T1 ship for caldari tackle? - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
usual caldari tackle seems to be the merlin with mwd, disruptor/scrambler and web, but i've enjoyed flying the condor, which doubles up as an agile and fast non-cloaking scout.

86. I don't see what's so OP about Falcons - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
Edited by: Florio on 22/02/2009 11:30:01 Never posted in a falcon thread before, but would just like to say that in my experience they are I-WIN ships and that just about says it all. I'd like to see their strength reduced by range (more than...

autocannon rigged active-dual-armor-tank myrm pwns all in my reasonably extensive BC experience. by the time you take out an ogre your tank has failed, if you don't take out an ogre your tank fails.

90. Minmatar Mining Shafted (a buff not nerf plea : )) - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
nothing wrong with the scythe. the osprey is a slightly better miner (3 miner ii, 1 assault missile launcher, large shield extender, 2 co-pro, 4 mining drones). the scythe is slightly better in defence (3 cu vapor particle mining lasers, 2 stand...

91. Fix to the falcon plague - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
there was a much better modification to falcons suggested recently - to do with falloff. basically at range a falcon's effectiveness would decrease substantially, forcing it in closer if it wants to be as uber as it is atm.

94. Brutix - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
for small fleet work i'd go for a shield-buffer 200mm railgun / 4 magstab fit. the heretical nature of a railgun shield-buffer brutix is outweighed by being able to hit the primary targets without delay. for small gang work then go for blasters o...

96. help me! hurricane or a Cyclone - in Ships and Modules [original thread]
If you want raw tanking ability over a very short time period then the cyclone, with cap booster and x-large shield booster. This takes very high fitting skills. For everything else, the hurricane. Probably the best battlecruiser in the galaxy.
