1. I hate collecting loot - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Picking up loot cans is part of the game content, plain and simple. If it's too troublesome/annoying, you can skip it and go kill more rats. You already get the bounties deposited straight into your wallet, think of the loot as a bonus you can ear...

3. Video Card x800 XT??? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Edited by: Fneb on 07/08/2004 23:31:38 While the ATI x800 may have a slight edge over the 6800 in performance, the price/performance ratio of the nVidia cards is quite compelling. You can get a lower end 6800 card for as little as $283 US. ht...

5. I thought the majority of the Eve player base were adults.....? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I think you'll find that there is just as much whining in nearly every game's forum. Things we're arguably better back in the days when game developers never listened to players. As soon as you open up a conduit for players to post feedback, they ...

7. DEV's Recent changes to centry guns. - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Just my opinion, but it seems that the sentry gun changes can benefit the resourceful pirate. Since the changes, my corp and I have been mining much more in < 0.5 space. It was too risky to travel there before because you had to pass through a ...

9. Is it possible to get an offical response on BP colors????? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
If we are correct in assuming that BPOs and BPCs are the same item type just with different properties, then indeed what seems like a minor thing to change really is a difficult problem. You really don't want to be screwing around with extra cod...

11. HEY! Destroyed me at gate in Scolluzer?!? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
It had occurred to me that CCP had been adding more RP content lately in the form of news articles, loot table changes and new missions. The Eve universe is not static. Just because something works a particular way today does not guarantee that it...

15. Missile launch direction changed - bug or intended? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I think it's intended. Personally, I like it better this way. It may not look quite as cool, but it's much more practical. Now your missiles get headed toward the target faster and with the changes in missile speed or something, they seem to rea...

16. Is the Z-buffer / flickery stations thing fixed in Shiva ???? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
I've seen that effect in a few stations too. It can be caused when the 3D model has more than one polygon occupying the same space. At least that has been my experience from modeling for other games. Hopefully, the fix in this case is just to revi...

17. Give up - struck their colors - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
The only way this could work is if the surrendering ship has at least some assurance that they will not be fired on while they have their white flag up and it needs to be more than just the pirate's word. If the surrendered ship cannot be targeted...

19. Newbies are almost chanceless? - in EVE General Discussion [original thread]
Actually, it's not hard at all in newbieville. There is plenty of ore to be mined with a lowly Probe out in 0.8 space. And a newbie can easily make money just buying and selling Isogen. It only takes a weekend or so to earn enough for a small pira...
