you usually fight on wormholes, so the range dont matter too much also, armor has a lot more high EHP high dps ships then shield, guardians have a better tank that the shield logi, and armor ships can use midslots for utility more easily

the carrier wont care about the sleepers. not on capacitor, self-rep or remote rep. so just pick ships with the highest damage you can get and decent resistances.
