The ferox is a natural tanker. But you said that he has 60% resists to EM on his, so given, you wont be able to break his tank becasue you are either arent using multifrequency crystals, or T2 damage, or he is just resisting you to hell with his s...

to the OP, apparently, you're resisted. If you're talking about armor damage... well DUH! there is a base 60% resist to EM damage and 35/40 for thermal. On top of that people usually nano stack with armor tanks, so you're heavily resisted.

yes that setup would work fine, just make sure that you have the correct hardeners for the missions, but for PvP the hardeners should be 2 Energized adaptive Nano, and an energized reactive nano. Missions would be 2x strong damage type, 1x weak da...

if you want to go for caldari spec AFs, the hawk is NOT a good choice for pirating. I would say the harpy out of the two because of the bonuses to rails, even then, its not very good for that.
