1. DEAR LORD! THE FRAMERATE SUCKS! - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Eve tends to be more CPU-dependant than video-card dependant. -- "Never use a sledgehammer to drive a thumb tack."

2. DOES ANYBODY CARE ABOUT US "THE CUSTOMERS" - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
CCP told a TTI exec long ago that they were working on a system for better logging combat to take care of situations like this. If they finished it, it was probably not active seeing as how the server crashed and all, but it may be available once ...

4. Is this game now an unofficial commercial beta??? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Considering that this is not only CCP's first MMORPG, it is actually their first *game*, I am quite impressed with what they have done. Their graphics engine is amazing, the combat system is very sophisticated, and the market is among the most adv...

5. Memory Leak - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
The system listed should be able to run Eve perfectly fine, with the possible exception of the video card being a little bit pokey (which can be replaced for under $100 with a Geforce 4 or FX 5200) Yes, Eve does indeed have, or at least had, a mem...

157.157.139.10 Port 26000 Local ports: 15002, 15003, 1242, possibly others. All use TCP, so you can probably safely block UDP and maybe ICMP. -- "Never use a sledgehammer to drive a thumb tack."

10. GeForce 5900 Ultra + roid belt = lock up 100% - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
Threads, it could be that your card is overheating. Unlike previous generation nVidia cards, the FX series often just stops rendering altogether when it gets too hot, rather than rendering with artifacts/corruption. This seems less likely as you s...

11. Crackly, broken sound after an hour or two - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
After a while, I start to get horribly broken, *****ling sound on my system. It happens only when I run Eve, but seems to effect other sound as well (generic windows sounds), but oddly not, for example, Winamp. Does anyone know how to resolve this...
