TSM as it stands is actually a pretty handy skill at present; shield recharge works like cap recharge, with its peak at aroud 30~40%. I like to keep my shield around that level, which means I don't have to boost quite as much, which gives my cap ...

I worked it out using my attributes before the new missile skills were implemented. It came out that maxing out your SP in a single gunnery chain + support skills would take like 20 days more than doing the same for all missile skills.

Usually, when something requires Level 5 in a specific skill, the effect that the given skill would have on the item/module that requires it at Level 5 would already be applied to the stats. I'm not sure if this would apply to Tech 1 items, but it...

You forget one thing. A set of the pirate implants, isn't just the 5 seperate attribute implants, but also a 6th, dedicated hardware- check it, they add 50% to the bonus or something along those lines, and do nothing else.

AFAIK, the skill is there to be learnt, as the POS weapon systems will eventually be changed to require it for a player to set them up; introducing them now, without giving people a chance to learn them, would have left the POSes unable to defend ...
