1. Eve on a cheesy laptop - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
I've trided it on one of those built-in gfx cards that had dx 8 support. But it had only 32 Mb ram and that is not enough for eve. It just wouldn't start for me. I got the splash screen but then nothing happend when it tried to start the 3d engine...

I'm running a nice old version of winamp (ver 2.64) cos of some nice plugins for my serial LCD I got. Having no problems what so ever playing mp3s and playing eve. I use my built in Realtek AC97 soundcard via S/PDIF port.

Some stations have some "loudspeaker talk" you can't make out what guy sais but it sounds like a guy on a PA in a airport or railstation. You know that mumble echoed of the flat walls making it very hard to hear. Your drones also makes a "chatty" ...

Hmm well, you should always use the manufacurer of the laptops drivers since the driver ATI provide on thier site doesn't support mobile graphic cards. Not sure why there are display errors for you though. Try reinstalling them and then directX a...

A good way to make a complicated password withough haveing to write it down is to have a figure as your password. For example cft6yhn is a pyramid, vgyhujm is an M and so on.

Well, I seem to always have to restart Eve whenever I feel like changing the resolution or switch between full and window mode cos Eve always crach when I do it :( but if you allready tried that (I bet you have) I'm at a loss sorry.

Yes the pic from you char info is a bit to much compressed. I can see the jpg artifacts everywhere. Luckely I'm not getting any probs when saving it from eve. I've heard this bug accur when you have a char that is looking left... but I might be on...

Have you upgraded the firmware in the router? I had lots of trouble with my 3com router/firewall untill I upgraded the firmvare in it. Not a problem since I did that. You can find the new frimware at D-Links homepage.
