I like the idea about placing batteries around the gate. Caldari, Amarr, Gallente and Minmatar do it to their space, why can't we???? The who can and cannot enter a system doesn't sound like a good idea to me... Ther could be soemthing like dema...

So you are saying that you need to ban anything form low sec you can't beat in a 1v1 fight? In any case the two options the OP suggested will never work. The fact that it's low sec means people can shoot you... who cares if you die by a mothership...
