Ok if any1 but MASS did this would it make them a pirate ? Or does MASS have "special" rules too all that hunt so called pirates 
What needs too be sorted out here is why can 1 corp shoot a BS and its called protecting themselves and another corp does the same and its called piracy
I am not trying too label any1 here i am being genuine on this matter as im aparently a pirate for doing the same too Stain and thats after they attacked my corp members first in 0.0.
( not in Stain spcae either)

Well i just undocked and sat with them in my ibis and noone targets me or shoots me. So why did they shoot my Megathron, for my items?

Then the war was declared upon pirates, even though all soul cartels ever really done is tried to protect its space from other people mining, a nice area for all us friends to get along in this game.
When the war was declared, I thought fair enough, it is mostly stain who try and mine / research / produce in our small (and it is tiny compared to what stain claim), they've had enough, and now we're gonna have a war.
MASS announced this in a fashion as George Bush announced his war on terror, a war on piracy.
Now the war starts, blah blah blah, and now what is this? Stain decide to shoot random players, players who have no affiliation with any pirate corps, are in good standings and aren't doing anything wrong.
Oodlebang, I'll contact you ingame, (I'm having trouble logging on at the moment) to see how I might be able to help you replace your ship. Although this is not something I would normally do for anyone, I feel in your case that Soul Cartel are the reasoning behind your death for MASS, HOWEVER this does not excuse the outright outrageous behaviour by them - you should be fully re-imbursed by the stain alliance for this act of piracy, and given a full apology.
Furthermore, Stain need to apologise to the community for this act, after getting up on their high horse about pirates before and during the war they are currently in.
