fixed it for you
But as long as you don't suffer a nervous breakdown when it blows up, it will be fine and you'll enjoy it!
Be aware that you will be primary often just because of the shiny killmail.
You could use it to the advantage of your small gang and buffer the hell out of it while your friends bring the real glass cannons.
However, the gank fitting is more fun for sure...

Edited by: Birkinz on 20/02/2009 17:08:10 There is nothing wrong with the Arbalest Siege, I have very good missile skills having cross trained from Caldari and I prefer a ship with as much gank as possible to kill things and get out.
The ship already has far more buffer then a standard Mega and it annoyed me that my standard Mega outdamaged my navy version.
When I do things right I kill the target before im even into armour and when I lose ships I am horribly outnumbered. This means extra tank is utterly worthless.
The Siege also hits out to a nice range helping me while I MWD in. Can I ask the flamers what they would fit that would make the ship so awesome?
+1 high slot is more interesting to me then another low.
Since ganking people is one of the few areas that a Mega still shines and is the only place that I would fly the Navy Version I would say my choice is a valid one.
Think before you flame, and if you must flame, try to think of your own one because repeting stuff that you hear on the forums makes you look stupid.

I took part in that fight and was on the radio as well, but I can't comment on the fitting. GF, well deserved win, turning up with the only battleship team.
Edit: Although, as I said, I can't comment on fitting, and I am after all, an EVE noob, wouldn't expanding into long-ranged guns/missiles slightly gimp the blaster boat part of that fit? I always thought mixing weapons was a bad idea.

Torps are short range, but they hit well to 20K which is about the range you are microwarpdriving when gate camping.

I see, thanks. And, if you can't fit another blaster, fitting anything to debilitate your opponent might be a good idea. If only to annoy them, at any rate.

Dropping a tungsten for a eanm will give you better tank and free up the grid...

i did no such thing and i have neither eft nor eve at hand to throw a fitting together.
Utility highs on battleship = neut everything else for a neut will be way more helpful in many situations
Unless fighting a Tempest with dual neuts

Edited by: Birkinz on 20/02/2009 17:35:57 Appologies, it was the other guy that bolded it. As far as the neut goes it is useful in certain situations. I use 5 warrior IIs, 5 EC-600 and 5 Hammers so I can deal with tacklers.
The Neut is a legitimate fit, but it would only really help in a very small number of scenarios. ECM drones + overlod guns + launchers can be just as good (and more fun).
If you think the neut is a better fit, why not say "I would use a neut". When you say BS highs = Neuts you just look ignorant.

I posted in this thread because the first 5 posts were trolls. The OP won a ship that he wants to use and so I threw a fitting and explained that it was a gank fit.
There has been 1 other serious post in this thread which just shows you what these forums are comming to.
Keep flaming people it makes you look so cool.

Both a neut and launcher have its advantages.
Neut ------ -drains your targets caps possibly completely disabling them. -more effect on smaller ships.
Launcher --------- - more dps( 30-60 depending on skills) -damage specific - works without cap( though with only one this is unlikely to be much of an advantage.
my opinion: go with a nuet. even maybe a smaller neut if you dont want to sacarfice anything else. even a SB would be more advantagous probably than a launcher. If this was a minny ship with a more equal mix of hardpoints i would say mix weapons ( yeah weapon mixing does work if your not a f key warrior that fights in zombie mode) in your case a neut or NOS would be the way to go.

Its also worth remembering that a neut drains your own cap. that means you need a cap booster - so no second web.
Anyone remember the problems of blasters? 2nd web is extremely helpful and also makes it harder for targets to get back to the gate which is very common. This is much more useful generally then a neut, especially a medium.
