Last week a goonswarm member contacted our corp and said that goonswarm was selling/renting some of its systems. For a price of 1bil ISK we agreed and goonswarm transported our stuff into 00. However later we found out that the goonswarm member had taken the ISK and items for herself leaving us without much ISK, assets and no 00 space.
Many people ask why many corps dont leave high sec and this is why. The big Alliances can and will beatdown on the little guy who is trying to get into 00. So if an Alliance offers to sell you space tell them where to stick their SOV as you are very likely to be exploited.
This is not a mortal blow to our corporation and we will get it back pretty soon but this is more about a breaking of trust then the ISK value involved. I advise the EVE community to take a paranoid stance when dealing with Ess Erbe (the person who initiated this scam) or anyone else offering to rent or sell 00 space.

Using significantly less typing than you just did you could have saved yourself a lot of issues.

Sorry you lost stuff, but you made 2 mistakes, the first was Trusting Goons. Simple research would have shown the goons are a bunch of scammers.
The second is posting here, and giving them publicity for the scam, as it only inflates their egos, because they made a pubbie cry on the forums over lost pixels, and virtual money.

I didnt think they would bother to scam it as they would have made more ISK if they had let us use the system and taken a cut of the profit. Oh well got burnt but will be more paranoid next time. :)

First off. HAHA. Sorry for being rude but there is a post a day about goon scams and people still fall for it. They don't care about the potential capital to be gained by actually granting you space they just care about griefing pilots.

Goons probably have enough people using their space as it is and scamming is a laugh after all. People like you make it too easy for them to scam, you're so eager to hand over your isk that its just too tempting to pass on.

You know, one would think this would be common knowledge by now. I guess it's worth repeating:

Three times so the message sinks in. It should be automatically assumed whenever a Goon speaks, they are lying. If a Goon is recruiting, it's always a scam. If a Goon wants to make a deal or contract of some kind, it's always a scam. If a Goon is being friendly and civil towards you, a scam is incoming.

Ah, it's just pixels and virtual money...
Why goons get an ego boost if they got just more pixels and virtual money? They are shooting the pixels and stuffs in Delve, they are bragging about it? Why's that? It's just pixels, it's not like they are really doing anything.
