I am at a loss. Either probing with core probes is not yet working as intended in the current Sisi-Version or I will never figure it out without a detailed instruction guide.
I can throw out multiple probes, shove them around at will, let them scan. I do get any and multiple echos but the method to interpret and approach these echos incrementally and nail them down into precise warp targets is either not evident or it's not working. Scan results seem random at best.
The IG-Guide is no help at all.
But I guess it's just me

Welcome to the biggest hurdle.
READ for guides/feedback. It is a work in progress but we are applying significant peer pressure on the poor Devs to give up some snazzy-ness in exchange for usefulness ... join the party!

Probing - it's serious business
Anyway in a nutshell (1) launch probes (need 4 for warpable hit) (2) starsystem view (f10, toggle button) (3) drag the probes around (one at a time, push scan to make em warp) (4) scan (trangulation) and warp to result after u get it nailed down.

I think probe / scanner is borked atm on sisi - so you cant see the result location. Might just be my PC tho.

Haha, quite true. The benefit of lengthy discussions on a topic however, is that one acquires the right frame of mind to visualize what is being said. Since we are talking moving and finding objects in a 3D space, that visualization comes in pretty handy.

Indeed!
Just be aware that the system map is bonkers, don't click on any icons or on overview icons when it's open. At least we can move probes now, two steps forward - one step back seems to be the CCP work paradigm

so lets see. 4 probes.. no 8 probes out, using a covert ops, i get multiple signals but no mater how i move then around i get nothing. if i make one really big it loses all signals, or if one is in a new area i get no signals... very annoying and i can;t seem to isloate anything

Would be great if the probes showed trajectories to scanned objects.
