The headlines to the left are non-informing. I usually have to open 3 or 4 of them before I find what I am looking for.
Is it possible to set some parameter somewhere, so that it opens the page with all folders opened?

I think there is already a variable that opens or closes all folders but currently it is random. Just roll your dice a few times and wish for luck.

use a work computer which has a completely outdated version of internet explorer (6.0) and you will still see all the menus open by default

downgrade your internet browser so you see the sight in a useful manner that will be best
Also, I believe that you should join Rancer Defence Force. It's cool.

You can disable javascript.
The open/closed status of each (sub)menu is cookie-based, by default the javascript on the site closes all of them.

also everytime I try to reply to a post the message box keeps going from normal to compressed everytime I type a letter....ughhh it's happenin as I type this....please fix CCP

So you're saying it remembers that "EVE FORUMS" is should be open, even if you leave the site for an hour? I doubt it.
Slightly offtopic but somewhat related: What's the point of the "log in" button anyways? It already knows my login information. The sidebar "settings" expire the same moment the "logged in" cookie expires. Rather useless "feature" since it adds no (as in zero) additional security at all.

maybe a drawing error. i could interpret those "eye" as looking fixated to the horse in deep concentration so it fits :P

I've got nearly all of them expanded for some reason and they won't close even when I click on the cross to close them down. The Forums section is one of only 3 that are closed so it's halfway down the page. I have to page down twice to get to that section.
