So where does it say the character portrait swap must be the same race and gender?
I bought GTC then sold them to get the isk to trade for this character so I could skip all the tedious learning skills. Yes I know it's cheap and all of you who had to train your learning skills earned it and blah blah blah. what can I say, I wanted to jump in without waiting through 4 months of training skills who's only purpose is to make it easier to train other skills.
Regardless; I want to change my portrait to something I create instead of the one it came with (even though i've had her for over 2 months and still don't really have a portrait even in evemon) So i went to the character portrait swap screen and no mention of same bloodline and gender, I filled it all out to swap the portrait of the amarr I had made a while back myself and it seemed ok. I didn't complete because i wanted to make sure I wasn't going to give up $10 and have someone say later, "oops, we can't do that, thanks for the ten bucks."
so where does it actually say the gender race must be the same, and has anyone tried swapping different gender/race portraits?

mmmmm sweet sweet exclamation mark, although i prefer the curves of a question mark.
seriously though I'm not sure why I still don't diplay in the forums or on anything linked to my api (like evemon). But in game I get messages all the time from lonely boys in their basements.

Thats rather silly statement tbh.
I made my Char based soley on the descriptions and what I thoguh to be good in EVE. Achura provided a lot of nice stuff :).
There are a lot of alts however due to 3 charisma ^^
