I keep noticing you say "petition"...
Someone as clued as you should know this sort of thing gets filed in a bug report, not a petition ;).

indeed. And is what I did. Either way, they did nothing with it ........ SIX weeks on. I don't think it matters no matter what i file it under  
I think i've identified the issue anyway. I left the PC on all day today, logged in with an alt and it didn't crash \o/
I suspect its a screen res issue. I normaly run at 1680*1050 however, last night and today its been running at 1360*768 and ... so far.... no crash. That said, its an intermittent issue and so I might just have been lucky. Im going to leave it on 1360*768 for another day or two and then step up a couple of screen res's ... and so on ... and so on ...
Only more testing will tell.......
Would be interesting to know if anyone else is running at 1680*1050?

I do as well, never had a single issue.
C2D E6600 with both an 8800 GTX and an GTX260. No issues at all at 1680x1050.
I must say that this is definately one of the wierdest issues I'v read about... ever...

i've been running 1680x1050 and having full system lockups whenever I try to run 2 accounts. I'm currently trying 1360x768 and so far it has been fine.

Sorry I got it wrong. I usualy run at 1920x1440.
I'm now testing 1920x1200 .... if this works, I wont worry about replacing the monitor just to play eve.
Anyone else use 1920x1440?
