Well, couple of things really.
First, we have Apocacrypha coming liek, tomorrow. Ok, so I've set a 47d+ skill, I hope it'll be enough before server functions normally..
Second, I got my new PC this friday. Setting up overview etc again for five accounts is tedious, especially with the xpac around the corner it felt like a gamble. Who knows if the Apocadoomsday will nerf kill settings or not.. so I've been pure carebearing for a few days. Eek.
Thirdly, I just felt like screaming the end is near. 
Fourth, am predicting alot of potential carebears, PvE-focused players and nubs flooding the game soon enough. The gankage in low sec entry point.. the gankage! And the emorage to follow.. 
..and very timely, with all this, I'm out of cheese. Damnit! Good thing we have a 'day off' EVE so I can go do some grocery shopping.
What did I miss? I'm sure that THE END really IS NEAR!

1) \o/ Maybe, although they might blow it up just to **** with you.
2) Yes, resetting overview settings are tedious as ****. I would love CCP to get off their asses and fix the overview (e.g. use OR instead of AND for conditional operators, it's not rocket science ffs). It ****s me to tears everytime I format -_-

4) Maybe. I don't think there'll be a big burst of new peeps, but I am really tempted to stop being the semi-good-guy I am atm and turning into a complete scamming **** to help teach new players why they shouldn't use contracts for their PLEX's.
edit: killing new corp members? Psh, I've always liked the idea of starting a remote rep chain then shooting a station

Carrier V, Astrometrics V, one of the leadership bonuses to V (forgot which >.<).. hmm what's the last two nubs. Oh yah, Negotiations V on my nub corp mission runner alt, and last dude is some gunnery V.
Trying to have my leadership nub, and the missionrunner/trader, finish their charisma-based training so I can drop their base char to rock bottom and never look back.
I guess dropping Misanths Willpower from 31 will be pretty sweet as well, at least his Char was 3 or something at creation.

There's no better reason to scream 'the end is near' then just feeling for it. Best reason to make people panic, is by having no reason.
Also, this thread is posted in C&P to balance up all the negative emo-rage serious posts on this subject that will end up in the General Discussion. I expect more out of this one. Like having chill people with some humour posting.

Proof of OP is simple...
Eve has been a game marketed on the net by two things.
Word of mouth. Players who know what the game is and what it is not, inviting other people who can handle both.
Reviews. Usually written by gamers who could not handle it and refer to the game as too complex and scare people with the learning curve.
Now, we are getting ready to get the players who see the box on the shelf at WalMart or GameSTOP and go....ooooh, shiny spaceships.... I'll buy this and a new flightstick...
The Eve community has survived a LOT.... I'd be a shame to see it die to WalMart.
Oh, and to all you players that are not US citizens and used to dealing with these people... I'm terribly sorry for what you are getting ready to endure.
Disclaimer: no, I'm not some east coast hoity-toidy making fun of middle class america... I'm a good old boy from missouri that happens to be equal part redneck and geek.

I don't think we'll need to worry about the Wal-Mart shoppers for too long.
Once they realize they can't customize their ships into Dale Earnhart or Tony Stewart Nascar replicas...they'll quit.
