Sort it out CCP, i hate to use the "W" word, but my daughter had zero problems patching up World of Warcraft from a retail box despite it needing about 6 sequential patches totalling about 3 gigs. And no, I dont wanna play wow, thanks all the same.

BTW my D/L on the Apple also said the file was corrupt.. Could it be a corrupt files wre uploaded and causing these issues? Currently on my 2nd D/L attempt for my Apple Starting 3rd try for the PC now..

On my third attempt now, first two finished downloading after a stupid amount of time, to come to the conclusion that the file was corrupt and that was that. Not only is BITS stupid slow, to have that as the only option is pathetic. Why can't we just have a direct download, never a problem with that before. Better speeds and no god damn corruption. Also what a stupid idea to nerf all links to torrents on eve-files etc with your only suggestion is to use "official" download only which doesn't even work.

I have been playing EVE since 2006, with two computers and two accounts. At one point I had three accounts. I enjoy EVE very much, but MUCH more when I can use two accounts - it simply makes many things TONS easier - trading - self-support on missions or scouting for PvP. With the new graphics upgrade, I now cannot play EVE on my laptop. Previously it ran extremely well and I rarely had any issues. Now I cannot play my second account with any effectiveness, unless I either buy another computer, or try running two windowed clients simultaneously on my desktop with two monitors. Either option requires me to spend money to upgrade hardware. I'm not sure why CCP thinks that having shinier ships and more detailed explosions is going to outweigh forcing obsolescence on what is probably hundreds or thousands of its customer's hardware setups. I'm disappointed, and will be returning to one account for the forseeable future. EVE is still a great game, and I appreciate the effort CCP puts in to make it new and exciting as often as possible, but I just think that effectively forcing a graphics hardware upgrade for CCP customers was an ill-considered move. By the way, the patch program crashed mid-patch on my desktop and I'm now forced to download the entire client (1.9GB) which is likely to take me all day it seems - speeds ranging from mostly 60kbps - 200kbps. I easily get twice that from dedicated connections.

Well Download Manager have also slow speed for download I have max 390 kib/s

Having read some of the early horror stories about the lousy patching experiences that peeps were having, I uninstalled my classic client and attempted to download the full Windows version from the Eve website. It tried to download an installer, but that failed due to a data corruption issue. (according to the messege on the webpage) I was directed to do a direct download, which is still in progress. (got about 4 hours to go) My question is this: Will this be ALL I need to do to get up and running, or will the build I'm trying to download have to be patched to get it up to par? The file reads _Premium_Setup_84244_m.exe What say you all?

Well thanks for the effort. Downloaded patch and it seemed to install fine. Get new log-in screen but still get incompatible version message and no joy. I guess if nothing new is up by tonight I will try re-installing a whole new client.

Same here, but with 4 clients, almost got the patch downloaded a 2nd time, so an hour or so left to go for the remaining two. Really, its a "braindead" way of patching IMO, considering most veterans have between 2 and 4 clients! Next time allow a manual safe to folder for reuse at the end or start of the download and the pain is gone!

The 75mm rails I got it don't animate, they don't seem to fire (they do deal damage, its graphical), sometimes you get weird white flashes/lines and sometimes they dissapear. The sansha frigs I was fighting had their turrets not recoiling either and their lasers didn't come from the right positions. Sounds are in general a little weird as many are very soft now, I didn't even hear my turrets at all. The shield hardener sound seems to be nothing but a very low hum, which gets annoying after a few minutes. Other than that, awesomeness... ------------------------ Low-sec is like sailing along the coast of Somalia...
