Ur hai guiz.
Just thought I'd share with you my experiences today.
Almost lost my sanity trying to get a lock on one of these wormhole fellas, took me about 2 hours to finally get through. Had a nosey around, took on one of these sleeper BS chaps. Theres no shield, just an armor buffer tank and some nifty damage. Picked up the lewt...checked scanner - holy fck where did that 12 man gang come from. LOVE the new local system - adds a completely new dimension to PvP and makes it far more realistic
Sharp exit.
Get the boys together, lets go see if that gangs still there - also wanted to try out the bubble on my devoter for the first time
Wondered around, then went back and bubbled the wormhole. Managed to pop a few frigs and pods. Scanners indicated there was only a lone Guardian left in the system. Almost snared him a few times as he warped from planet to planet. Then he finally gave up and logged.
Checked the status of the wormhole before we left....
"This wormhole has had its stability critically disrupted by the mass of numerous ships passing through and is on the verge of collapse."
Thought, that poor guardian chap probably doesn't have a scan launcher on his ship. Proceeded to spam the wormhole with traffic, making it collapse, leaving the logged off Guardian pilot to his fate when he decides to come back :)
Love the patch so far :) Cheers.

Using in-game mechanics to beat lame meta-game mechanics.

While thats awesome, I bet this tactic leads to the removal/nerfing of the whole wormhole colapses due to mass mechanic. To many people will grief that way me thinks, and CCP will remove it, leaving WH's to be a timed colapse. Althogh this tactic seems so obvious, I dont see how CCP could not have forseen this being used so maybe its working as intended?

Ai m surprised people do not fit cloaks when to go in, I mean you have to plan for bad things to happen in W space.

I think it's a wonderful mechanic that stops BLOBS from entering the WH space and basically forces a small gang pvp environment with no Local. A pvper's dream!!! Drooool

quick question ... sort of on topic.
if you pirate / kill in WH Space do you still lose the standings you'd lose pirating elsewhere?
maybe a newb question, but never having been a pirate I really don't know the mechanics.
thanks

There is a safeguard against to much greifing on collapsing WHs already. Try to jump in, out, then in again. If someone say they jumped in and out 10 times to close the WH they would have been around that WH for quite some time. (Unless using carrier..)

They put in a "4 min timer per ship" I think, you can jump 3 times then timer kicks in,or similar,to stop WH spam collapse ====================

Absolutely. The only possible resolution to this dilemma is that the OP is a lying Blizzard astroturfer.

No, W-space is basically 0.0 in this respect.

Not sure why anyone would call this an exploit I think its a great idea and I am sure CCP figure a group might collapse a WH on purpose when they were looking at things. As it was one of the first things that came up in our corp after we chat about how they worked.
Great job trapping the guy.

I think it's great... If you're not compos mentis enough to bring a prober in with your gang then you deserve to get caught out. Your prober should always be the first in and last out.

To all those thinking Lord TYMAN was using an exploit: Grow up people this tactic was discussed well in advance on the sisi forum and was considered totally valid as there will always be at least one wormhole that can be found in a wormhole system that exits that system. So shutting down existing wormholes on purpose is considered a totally valid tactic. People this is 0.0 security level. If you're not prepared you'll get reamed. CCP even put in a delay for single ships using this tactic so that Lord TYMAN probably had to wait a few minutes after every 2 jumps for his ship to be able to jump again. Deal.
Well done Lord TYMAN.

I thought CCP said earlier that it will be possible for people to explore some of these wormholes without being worried about getting attacked about other players... Guess they lied.
