Below is a list of known EVE Online retailers that are carrying the new Special Edition Apocrypha retail box.
Please note that this is not a complete list and it will be updated as we get more information from Atari and our playerbase. If you know of a store, that is carrying the EVE Online retail box and it is not on this list, then please let us know by posting here.
All stores based in Europe will be receiving their shipment of boxes on the 12th of March, while stores in the U.S. received their shipment on the 10th of March. This is because gaming stores in Europe receive inventory once a week and that happens to be on Thursdays.

PCWORLD says in stock now,but then when you buy says not released till 13th
GAME correctly says 13th
PLAY says in stock and despatched within 24 hours,liars
AMAZON correctly says 13th

Can someone confirm the box in the UK is purchasable in stores and not just on-line?
Also in the UK is Gamestation not stocking them?

i am not sure about this one
GameStation is part of the GAME brand as GAME own them so in theory yes. and the box will be purchasable in box form in stores as my stores delivery has already come =)

Can the retail vwersion be used for multiple intalls? I have two accounts and absolutely no joy patching or complete installation on-line and would obviously prefer to pay out for just one retail Eve rather than two?

Thank you for the added retailer listings.
We donŠt have information about retailers down under, and are waiting to hear from Atari Australia.
The version in the retail box does require some patching as it had to go into production before the final build was ready.

Yes. It can be used for multiple installs.

I've just got back from Town and I visited a GAME store which has EVE on shelves right now and instock, they received it this morning.
So I brought it, now be jealous of me.
In the UK by the way.

PLEASE NOTE
The DVD has a Quantum Rise client on it. The exact same you have right now pre-patch. You still need to do the 1.4GB patch even if you install from the retail disc.

Actually, EVE is available at the Free Record Shop, just search for "EVE" on the www.frs.nl website.

So, with all the KNOWN issues arising from the patcher system from SiSi, you expect new players to buy the game and then suffer all the bull of the autopatcher, checksum errors etc etc?

Another thread in the forum here confirms that EB Games carries it. If there isn't copies there already at your local one, it should be there tomorrow or Friday.
