Where does your character name come from?
Mine is because I want to be an admiral someday (might take a while though, lol) and well, I dread naught.

Was playing postal 2 before I made the char.
My main... *was* the CEO of the Gray Death Legion (Mechwarrior) )(shes dead..)

I was watching Transformers the movie (80's version) and picked two lines that sounded eve-ish.

This is a name I have carried with me for quite around 10 years. It originated from The Matrix where the name Digital Pimp was spouted and I just modified it a bit to use for Quake II and Unreal matches in our high school's computer lab

Had it since, oh, 1992 or so, with a different last character depending on what's available. Or, technically, its current form comes from the fact that my co-workers couldn't pronounce the name I originally had whenever we had some after-work Doom sessions… That name comes goes back to the 1980s BBS days.

I've been carrying the monicker of 'Ruze' for about nine or ten years. It's based off the old Nintendo, US-release Final Fantasy. One of the abilities was 'RUZ'. Mix and match, ruse becomes a creative Ruze that for a long while was pretty unique.
I can pretty much guarantee a Ruze in most games.
Imagine my disappointment, however, when I find that the cool and unique 'Ruze' happens to mean rose in some eastern European languages

Kirrian was my first character in EverQuest... you remember... way back when. In the good old days... Before "The game whose name shall not be spoken". =P
He was a wood elf druid who seemed to always be ****ed off and hang around the strangest of people.

I named this character after a some obscure Mongolian baker.
My alts are variations of my real and ethnic names after my grandfather's name was butchered by Immigration Officials in the early 1900's.
I have tried to rise above the "Johnny StarRider" genre, as Eve is a serious internet spaceship game, and names should sound alien and be hard to pronounce.

I was annoyed that there wasn't a skill queue in the game and wanted CCP to implement it. I also wanted to clearly express my support and keep reminding people about the issue. By using the naming mechanism to do this I could do all that and not annoy other posters by having to talk about the issue constantly. I guess from now on it will be a reminder about how EVE used to be in the old days.

Was a nickname I received in the Navy. Now I use it for all gaming activities, so if you see me elsewhere, chances are great that it is me! Although, I have run into a few games where the name was already taken

Well when i started i had to pick a name as it was my first MMO, i liked the name Cypher but someone had taken it so i just added the end and it accepted, i have noticed a few odder spellings of my name being added to the list each time i search for myself >.>
