And since someone already said that:
The fact that I can't hear a damned thing when I zoom out my view. This is way up on the list of things that irritate me about this game. No excuse for such a terrible mechanic (or having no way to shut it off). Sound is an important part of the game experience, just as much as graphics. When will CCP realize this? Who knows...
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |

My pet peeve with eve is I can't actually "fly" my ship. I come from a multi-player combat flight sim game and I'm used to actually piloting my ships. The clicking on the screen with the mouse is a little annoying.
I like this game because of it's depth, but not being able to actually fly my ship annoys me a bit.

I know this one isnt in any way comical nor does it include a nonsensical yet satisfying statement like cheezeburgrz, but....
I hate ig'nant chain breakers. Won't call them newbs, but they are more mentally handicapped than the professionally-diagnosed mentally disabled people that are unfortunately pitied more than this helpless lot. But I understand why this lot plays eve: its because they are doin it wrong IRL.

Idiots who put things in their sig like 'If you don't agree with me, stop reading my sig' or any variations on this. it's unfunny spam and should be banned, before EVERYONE turns signatures off.

Biggest pet peeve? How about neutrals/hostiles who show up in your space smacktalking about how your corp/alliance are pussies for not immediately engaging..but when you do show up to fight after gathering an adequate counter fleet (not out blob, but quite even numbers) they immediately turn tail and run away.

eve Dev's babying alliances with these easy to cover way over warp bubbled choke points..
nothing like waiting a day to get out of a choke system with only 2 gates in or out of it..
local chat that is a dead giveaway to anyone entering systems of alliances.. YOU THINK WE CAN HIDE!

As mentioned previously -
The ship swapping delay is a real pain. A countdown timer for that would be great. I get fed up waiting a bit, clicking to change and getting 1 or 2 seconds to go.
Getting chased through gates and then getting "session change...." aaaarrrghhh
When under pressure having to control stuff through two or three levels of tiny drop lists that have a very twitchy character is not the best way.
I always forget which way round it is to transfer money in and out of wallets. That could be simplified.

all the buttons in the Selected Item window should have hotkeys, these should be the oldest hotkeys in the game, existing since beta. You can open the fukcing calculator and the jukebox with the keyboard but god forbid you warp to a selected item or orbit with it. YOU CAN HOTKEY THE CERTIFICATION PLANNER BUT NOT THE DOCK COMMAND.
also the learning skills shouldn't exist.

I got two.
1) When I have two or more types of drones in my drone bay that I can't say launch all mining drones or launch all combat drones. Yet when you do launch all drones it seems to roll a d20 to decide which ones stay and which ones go.
2) When I'm looking for a new agent for a specific corp under the corp info agent tab that it doesn't tell you how many jumps the agent is away on that screen. You have to jump through hoops to get this info, click on agent info, click on info of the location, click on info of the system, then finally the route tab. Why can't it just say on the first page it's x amount of jumps away.

1) Session timers, specifically the swapping ship timer 2) Bugs fixed quicker, and patched more often. 3) Downtime

1) Put your drones in groups, then you can choose which group to launch.

People who would rather whine and complain about how they aren't able to do something instead of doing some research, putting together a plan, and executing it.
Perhaps what is even worse, though, are people who tell me (and others) what I can't do in Eve because I'm not part of a large corp/alliance. I was told, for example, that I would never be a successful trader.
Well, I'm not a trillionaire, but I haven't paid cash for my subscription for about eight months now. I was told I couldn't set up a tower in low sec. Well, I did that too. Then I was told, oh, your tower will never be profitable. It wasn't at first, but I have things moving along now and the tower is more than covering fuel costs and I am recovering the initial investment.
None of those accomplishments is a big deal - it happens every day. It is important to me though, because at every step of the way I was told I would fail, and I was told why what I was doing was a waste of time.
Well. Neener Neener Neener.

People who play EVE just to tell everyone that EVE sucks and how they're going to quit any day now and everyone else is a loser.
Seriously. Some of us enjoy the game. I happen to think it's pure winsauce. So PLEASE just pack up your little bindle and take your inane self-hating judgment to Counter Strike: Source and flashbang the brains out of your teammates.

Well technically since the camera hovers around in space and space is a giant vacuum, you shouldn't hear anything as there is no medium for sound to travel. Mute the game and play it the way its meant to be played!
Oh, what annoys me is the constant waiting around for no reason or a lame reason. eg: Changing gates, getting into warp, changing ships in hanger etc etc etc...

My pet peeves:
1) Macro Miners 2) Ship swap timers 3) Little more detail in mission descriptions about "who" you are fighting so you can get the right armor/shield setups. A few times I thought I was fighting one group, but they were another and that stinks. 4) mission warp gate ship size restrictions: Should be in mission description BEFORE you accept. Nothing worse than not having that ship class and having to buy and fit one quickly so you can do the damn mission 5) gate campers 6) isk selling spammers 7) Corp email notification spamming if POS is low on fuel. =============================================== Miner and Builder of all things shiney

Well actually, technically <yaya backstory, blah blah you're completely wrong, shutup etc>.
tl;dr- sound control should be in the hand of the player not a stupid UI mechanic

Warp Bubbles... Gotta be the lamest damn thing is this game. No skill required for a kill just sit park and wait. At least a low sec gate camp takes a little skill to actually get the kill.
