the ship change timer is annoying, especially when it says "you must wait 1 more second before you can change ship"
why can't it just wait that extra second and then change ship for you ?

Originally by: crockett EXE My pet peeve with eve is I can't actually "fly" my ship. I come from a multi-player combat flight sim game and I'm used to actually piloting my ships. The clicking on the screen with the mouse is a little annoying.
I like this game because of it's depth, but not being able to actually fly my ship annoys me a bit.
This!

Oh man, there are so many, the Eve client is the worst piece of software in the history of computers. But if I had to choose one, it would have to be the built in automatic window scrambler.
If your computer runs a bit slowly when you run Eve, it is because the built in automatic window scrambler is working really hard at calculating where the worst place would be to place your windows.
I can "Pin" a window, which will prevent me from moving or resizing it. All we need now is the ability to prevent Eve from moving or resizing it.

The way high sec war decs work.
Where the attacker(talking l33t PvP corps here) usually only logs in to engage when they got 110% chance of taking no losses while fighting , most of the time they spend on alts hunting for targets.
And if you by some chance should wardec their altcorp(if they have one and doesnt stick to NPC corps) they tend to drop the wardecs since the chance of actually loosing something is too much for them to handle.
Oh and if they dont spend the time offlining its usually spendt inside a station waiting for a time when they outnumber their opponent.
Meaning a small "l33t" warcorp can harass a larger corp with no risk/cost to themselves.

In no particular order
1. No differential between bpcs and bpos - why not have a triangle in the corner (like for tech 2) ?
2. Warning message when you load a stack of crystals into a laser - we know it only takes one, just put it in
3. Notebook wiping all your notes clear in the next patch
4. Wallet Journals getting deleted at the patch, so you need manual notes of long time deals
5. Evemail used to have a facility that when you clicked at the top, all unread mails came to the top for easy finding
6. The 2 types of recon ships not being together in the hanger
7. Factories a) Why can't it find an unused (or soonest available) factory slot where the bp is b) Why do i have to have multiple accounts to build as much as i want
8. Laboratories, even though the player base has expanded, the npc research stations havent had more slots (this also applies to factories)
9. Selling, max sell orders of 305
10. Buying, please can we have either a "Buy all" button, rather than having to type the amount in each time, or could we have a box where you state "I want to buy the 30,000 cheapest on the market", so you pay the asking price rather than having to buy them all for the price of the most expensive

New pet peeve: forum posts being removed without getting a clear notification for exactly what rule was broken after having posted a valid reply to the original thread which didn't violate any of the rules, and without any recourse to object to the removal. And, no, I won't discuss the contents of the email I received from CCP because that would be against the rules.
I guess I'll get banned for this now... crap!

I'm amazed nobody mentioned the map. I've been in game since '05 and still don't use it. It is the most worthless map of any game I've played. ------

Personal Inventory Tabs ----------------------- Having only one tab in my station inventory makes it very hard to sort and organize loot and ore for sale/reprocessing/refining. You can put it into a container, but then we can't sell/reprocess/refine items in containers. Even having just one extra (i.e., a second tab) would make a world of difference. I would perfer to have a set of personal tabs that work like corporate hanger tabs. Master of the (Orca Class) Deep Space Exploration And Mining Vessel "Long Shot" |

Spot on! A map showing just the next 5 jumps in any direction from where you are and the sec status would be handy.
Otherwose the map is pretty useless. Its like using a 1:1 scale map in a small car!

Compare projectile ammo icons: Projectile Icons
Hybrid ammo Hybrid icons (notice "small" icon cartridge can only hold 6 rounds while the "medium" icon can clearly hold at least 9 rounds...)
This simply will not do, until this serious gameplay affecting bug is fixed Eve is almost unplayable!

The map has so many wonderful features that are fun to play around with but overall it's a damn pain to work. A cutdown version as previously mentioned would be a godsend.
I hate: -accepting a mission that I have to change ships for -"traders" who buyout all nub equipment only to put it back on the market for 22 billion -uber-pvp legends who only pick on players in starting ships and t1 frigates -a stack of rats chain jamming or distrupting -the ego and elitism some of the "top" players and corps display. It's a game, relax -the huge difference in the difficulty of some missions despite being the same level -how long salvaging takes compared to actually finishing the mission objectives

The fact that the game is more than half a decade old and you still cannot mod the UI to stop sucking.
The fact that reorganizing (repackage, find the one module that's damaged, repair it, really repackage, stack, sort) my modules takes longer than many fights.
The fact that 90% of the keys on my keyboard are dedicated to chat instead of playing the game.
Waiting through the ship change timer. (What is the point of that thing anyway?)
Having to right click and select tiny menu options to accomplish most tasks.
Not being able to launch drones with a hotkey.
Not being able to bind 80 different keys to actions.
Staring at a black screen when undocking.
The godawful non-changable fonts used by the UI.
The fact that changing the font size of the ubiquitous popup menu text doesn't scale the size of the menus themselves, so fonts that are readable on a 1920x1200 monitor simply get cropped to about 20 characters.
Having to train bull**** unrelated skills as prerequisites for the new stuff every time its added. Science V anyone? What in the **** does blueprint copying speed have to do with jump drive operation? Seriously.

To quote George Carlin: "I don't have pet peeves - I have major psychotic f*****g hatreds!"
A couple things I hate are:
1. Inability to share my personal and/or corp bins to others outside my corp, along with not giving each person corp-style bins with the different tabs (divisions) to keep all this stuff organized.
2. Waffles! Why would you want such a hard-edged, cratered, landscape of a food product when pancakes offer such a smooth and creamy texture?

1) not being able to set up hotkeys or having hotkeys already set up. That would make a world of difference to me.
2) the autopilot when you're in a bigger ship. When you're only pulling 100 m/s or less (because there's no option to "use propulsion modules" or something like that) 15 km takes so bloody long autopilot is useless.
3) people who war dec in highsec with an alt, or spend their time as an alt character. If you want to wardec, then its war, bring it. If you only log on as your wardec character to ninja someone and then log off, it pretty much just makes you a *****

1. People who call their character a 'toon'
2. Alts. Come on, let's make this game the truly awesome and get rid of them. Let people really have consequences for their actions.
3. Space being so bright. Seriously, why do I have to keep my camera turned away from the action just to be able to see what mods are on or off?
